Oh for the love of god - the new album is AWESOME

I'm frickin blown away it is so good.

I saw him perform Evolution Revolution Love live with the dude from Live - Tricky is amazing.
I'm a huge fan of massive attack, but I'm glad as hell that tricky is doing his own thing. his other albums have good moments, but this whole album is great....

so there.
(and the album name is Blowback)

i have the mp3 of the new single and i almost picked up the album when i saw it in the store the other week... perhaps i should get it after all.

he has a bunch of other artists on it with him - not all of which I'm huge fans of other than Flea and John Frsciante (sp?) but they sound good with him.

he even has in the credits "Kool Keith" - that cracks me up, that dude's old school.

so far, there is one song on the album I don't like as much as the others, and it is still pretty good. just been bouncing through the track and am in the process of musicmatch ripping it right now.
then on to nelly's country grammar which I am embarrassed to say I like.

the dub pistols cd unfortunately isn't likely to make it here in time for my vacation in two days.

Kool Keith is out on some left field type shit. I picked up an album. Couldn't make heads or tails of what the hell he was trying to say. Didn't really care much for the album(Kool Keith's).

there is a cover of a nirvana song on here, pretty funny (something in the way) - it is like a trip reggae version tricky style.

Amazing album...
I though i was the only one!
Im a BIG fan of Tricky...
Do you recommend any past massive attack albums which have the same feel as Tricky's music?
What about old Tricky albums?

I like it all, but I'm not sure what other people would like. I know many people that don't like tricky's older stuff.

massive attack protection and the remix of it are awesome.

I've always been into artist like tricky, portishead, sneakerpimps, etc . . .

By the way do you have the track with w/ portishead on it : "hell is around the corner?"

Sounds like flea singing as well as playing bass on "wonder woman"?

The only one I could not get into on first listen was "over me". Just didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the cd.

tricky maximiquaye (i can't remember how to spell it) is excellent... but i don't like pre-millenium tension as much. don't know the others.

as for massive attack.. the ones happy mentioned, plus mezzanine.

that's all i know.

and if you don't own portishead you should. their two albums plus the live one with the new york philharmonic or whatever is AMAZING.

if i think of other groups to recommend i will :)

ahh goldie. you know him? you'd like it.
