Do you guys think that it's best for everyone and every body part to be trained once a week?

Or are there some people who need 2x/week per body part or even some people who have parts that need more or less training?

I'm frustrated b/c after I cut down to 1x/week per body part my legs started growing but my arms stopped!

Sorry - I know this is a training question but I want the opinions of the pros who live, eat, and breath bodybuilding.

I train major body parts once a week. Sometimes I'll hit Tri's or Bi's twice. Remember rest is just as important as training.

I think you answered your own question. It depends on you. This is a great example of why keeping a training log is so important. What works for me might not work for you. Experiment a little bit and see how you respond. Don't make judgement too quickly, give each new routine a few weeks to see progress or lack of.

For me, once a weeks for bi's, quads, traps, shoulders is plenty, while I'll hit tri's, hams and lats twice.

yes, you're right...i don't keep a log...but when you switch things around all the time (including supplements) it gets tough to remember what worked and what didn't.

i'm relieved to hear a few guys say that the do different things for different body parts.....b/c my workout partner INSISTS that it's a crime against humanity to work a body part more than once a week and more than 3 or 4 sets.

good in theory....but my intuition is telling me that i need alot more sets more often for bi's and hams....just more often for delts. I will trust my gut and keep a log.

Hold on there a moment bud. Are you saying you only do 3 or 4 sets total for Chest, Back or Legs? Unless those are super high intensity sets there's a problem.
