This is from people who live in Iran. I think they would know better than westerners that work for the US government.

Also, Iranians are Persian (and not Arab). Islam was thrust upon them by the sword...hence the Shi'ite sect (instead of the Sunni).

All Iranians will fight if any country invades. Not because they are Muslim, but because they are Persian.

The Shi'ite in Iraq are Arab (or see themselves as Arab) so they are merely pawns for the dirty hardline Mollahs in Iran.

Iran does not care about anyone but Persians (plus they hate Arabs). That is important to remember.

Iranians care about Iran. They will pretend to support the other Muslims in order to gaurantee their own interests (i.e. Shi'ite in Iraq).

Iran will never go to war for anyone else besides Iran (unless they are also threatened).

If any country attacks Iran, all Iranians will fight. It is as simple as that.

In addition, here is a little Persian history:

Fought against Ottaman Empire (and won)...they are Sunni

Fought against Iraq and pretty much won (considering that 114 countries were helping Iraq)...they are Sunni

In the war between Azerbaijan (Shi'ite muslims) and Armenia (Eastern Orthodox Catholic), Iran helped Armenia.

In the conflicts between India (Hindu) and Pakistan (Muslim), Iran helped India.

Lets be honest here....the only reason that we have not defeated iraq is because we are trying to be precise. At first, i didnt think that we would really try....but its pretty obvious.

We could drop MOABS on all the major cities and wipe em out in 1 day.

Plus, the only reason it is not being done like you described, is because other countries would not allow it.

The UK would pull out and the rest of the world would turn their back on the US (except for parasitic countries like Israel and Saudi Arabia).
