As i've said all along, Bush and his administration have not thought this war out and it's consequences past removing Saddam.
Unless the US occupies Iraq for sometime to come after the war and places a US friendly government in there, things will be exactly the same.
It's a no win situation.....if the US does occupy Iraq, it will turn the people against them immediately and bring out the fundamentalist factions in force .
The other thing is the Iraqi people's strong affinity with the Palestinian's, more so than most other Arab nations. The US's pro Israeli stance will always cause animosity from Iraqi's towards the US.
Bush and his administration have to take a consistant and even handed stance on the middle east otherwise the fruits of this war will be wasted. The middle east situation was around a long time before 9/11.
