Where do you guys get your MP3's? I've never been successful at finding any good ones.
Let me see if I can answer both your music at the gym question and your mp3 question.
As far as music in the gym, I have an Intel Pocket Concert MP3 player. It comes standard with 128 mb of memory. That is good enough for roughly 30-40 songs, depending on the size and quality of the song. The actual MP3 player is just a bit bigger than a pager and it has a belt clip on it. I love it. I like it a lot better than the cd player in a waist pack that I used to carry.
As far as getting MP3s.
www.audiogalaxy.com is your best bet for finding them on the net. You go to the site, download the satalite, which is very easy, then you just search for artist and song. There is a second way to get MP3s. You can search the net for programs called MP3 rippers. They will take your CDs and rip them into MP3s. I use a program called CDex. Search for it, you can find a free version in their website. Music Match is also good for ripping MP3s. But it only lets you rip at 128k or 160k. CDex will let you rip anywhere from 64k to 320k. As far as quality goes, the better the sound quality, the bigger the MP3 file is going to be. So for example, let's say you have a song that is 3:00 minutes long. At 128k, it will be roughly 3mb big. And the quality will be near cd quality. Now if you make it 160k, the size will be 3.5-4.0mb for the same song, but a higher quality of sound. If you make it 96k, the same 3 minute song will now be only 1.5-2.0mb, but the sound quality will be poorer.
I hope all that wasn't too confusing. If you have anymore questions about MP3's players or files, let me know. I can probably help.
