I think the confusion is some people thinking aap (me) = AAP.

Even after the meetup when pics were posted some people said "I thought AAP was bigger than that" when they were looking at photos of me.

So when aap was mentioned, some people assumed it was the moderator and didn't realize it was short for alien amp pharm.
