Do you crush or grind pellets before adding them to magic solution? Or, leaving them intact won't make much difference?
Also, do you heat it up? Or, it doesn't matter too much?
Do you use coffee filter?

i don't crush or grind the pellets i just put them in the solution and after about 20 minutes i swirl the bottle in hot tap water for 10 minute intervals and they completely dissolve in a about an hour. if you dissolve the pellets in an hour and watch the color carefully not letting it get a deep rust/brownish color you don't need the coffe filter. i atleast never use it and my end result has a very nice gold color.

I've done it both ways. It seems to disolve a little faster if crushed. Heating it up a little also speeds the process.

If you use A's kit, you don't need the coffee filter as long as you filter it within an hour.

with a's kit no filter need granted you follow the steps correctly. i never crush the pills but i do heat them in 10 minute intervals to speed up the process.

crush and heat, makes it much more manageable

No need to crush them, they will dissolve and if they wont, just add a little heat. Coffee pre filtering is a messy waste of time in my book.

The coffee filter will leave you with a clearer looking final product so if clarity is an issue use it.
The pellets will just about make it within the 60 minute window at room temp. This is too tense for me so I place the vial with the pellets in it in boiling water and then they melt within 30 minutes. I am always thinking about the glass breaking so I turn the heat down just enough to keep the solution warm.
Then you're on your way.
