For all the new guys reading SSAlexSS's threads

This board is valuable for the attainment of knowledge because it gives everyone an opportunity to voice their opinions and experiences in training. So, I respect his right to say whatever he believes.

However.....

SSAlexSS is pushing his high volume training like gospel. I find this contemptable because that type of training is exactly the pitfall that most all newbies make which destroys any potential progress. The idea that some newbie is going to read his threads and train that way until he falls into complete atrophy pisses me off, a lot. SSAlexSS has under a year's experience in this game? After 10 years of lifting experience and a lean muscle gain of over 100 lbs, I completely disagree with almost everything SSAlexSS says. As well, I completely disagree with the way which he presents it.

I just want to be sure that all the new guys that read his crap read everyones' responses as well as everyone elses' training ideas. Just look at the responses to his ideas by the more experienced bros on his threads. Guys with their pictures in the Avatars and in the pics area proving the success of their knowledge. I just want to stress to the guys on here that are trying to learn, to not take any one person's word as gospel on or off the boards. Especially someone who gets as much criticism as Alex does.

ahhh, true wisdom...
I agree spend a few days on the board and read about routines and make an edjucated decision on how you want to train. Don't take everything at face value either. This is the internet and many people will boast. Talk to as many veterans as you can they are usuallu very helpful and can guide you to the right place. Remember there is no miracle regiment, it all takes time...

It is good that you are questioning everything. It is great that you and many other people are critiquing me! ALL great people were critisized greatly! eINSTEIN, Bill Gates, Michel Jordan, Walt disney, etc.

WOW!'
FOr many people it is UNDERTRAINING that ruins their training.

Overtraining barely exists IF you combat it. More training = better results! You cant get something for nothing!

If getting big muscles was as simple as doing 1 ocasional workout in few days, dont you think we would have big guys around? NO!

Overtraining is used too much these days. Forget about overtraining and it will forget about you! Overtraining is weakness of the mind! You get lazy and decide to take it easy.

NO! There is no easy way out!

ok? Newbies, you have great possibility to grow big muscles even by training them 5 times per week. Dont listen to these conservative minded people. Overtraining for you is hard!

Overtraining doesnt exist if you are doing certain things (eating, resting, no failure sets, etc)

HIGH VOLUME is scientifically AND empirically proven to deliver the most goods. Low volume training while OK for newbies, isnt sufficient for anyone with a bit more expereince! But then again, since newbies cant do dorian blood and guts massacre. THEY CAN TRAIN A BODYPART UP TO 5X per week and GAIN! Anything will work for a newbie. However bad habits tend to form early in the training.;...

Beware of lack of motivation demon!

But, high volume is the key to loing lasting progress!

I think the point that the guys are trying to make is to not come across as though your way is the only way. Everyone responds differently to dofferent training. We should all try different things until we find what works for us. Newbies may take your word as gospel, and become frustrated.

No one is telling you that your way is wrong. Perhaps just add into your statements that it is an "option" that works for you that someone else might like to give a try.

I totally agree with you guys, without being too cocky, I do have the body to back up my knowlege and theories. But the key is that I know my routines are not going to be the best for everybody, and I recognize that I will never know everything there is to know about training, so I don't preach like I do! I present my theories as exactly that, if people want to try them, great, but I do know that there are a lot of other philosophies that will work as good if not better than mine.

I Think Mr. Sagan said it best:
"But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.

Though most of Alex's posts have been... rather silly :), I tend to agree somewhat with him on this issue of high volume.

However training each musclegroup even 2x or 3x a week would lead to overtraining for the average newbie.

However if you raise workcapacity gradually and use some form of periodisation and avoid forced reps, then it is possible for most drugfree people to train each musclegroup 2x a week and gain very good results.

Out of all the great, influencial people throughout history, you choose to list Bill Gates, Mich(e)l Jordan, and Walt Disney. This actually made me laugh out loud. Bill Gates, um, okay:rolleyes:. Walt Disney was a peice of shit. He black-listed so many good people and ruined so many lives, you can't begin to count them. He was criticized because he was a cocksucker. Jordan? Hehe. I don't have to try and discredit your intelligence Alex, you're doing an outstanding job all by yourself.

By the way, good quote number9 :)

Walt diseny came up with one of the best childrens cartoons. Whole theme parks are built in his name. He must have done something right!

Although I prefer japanese Hentai... hehehehehheheheh~

What about Jordan? Although he isnt a hero of mine, he is hero of many people. Not many poeople know edison, newton, volt, bach, tsiolkovsky, etc.

Some people respond very well to high volume training, such as myself. I have also noticed good results using low volume training, which shows that everyone is different. The key is to experiment and always change your workouts around. Sometimes you should do high reps, sometimes low reps, and sometimes both.

You are kidding Thaibox,

After the run in i just had with you, i go and read this thread you started. Who's preaching now? Who's being disrespectful?

I don't agree with SSAlex's theory on training, but he has the right to voice his opinion in any way he chooses. This is after all an open forum isn't it, or is it open only on your terms Thaibox.

I agree with alot of your training theories Thaibox, but you need to learn alot about humility.

Thanks for your support vinylgroover.

The forum needs more people like you!
After all its a forum about discussion of training!

This is an open forum. Anyone may say what they like as long as they are sincere in their post. If someone is trying to stir the pot that is a differnet story. Be respectful of others. If you don't agree with someone's point of view then by all means voice your views but there is no reason to attack others. Respond in a curteous and respectful way. You can always disregard what you disagree with.
