floyd landis tests positive...

Ok, I am bumping again.

Floyd told the French today he would not race in France this year and they said that was coolio with them, so he keeps his title, unless the US anti-doping body finds the samples as positive. This is probably unlikely as they could not bring down Armstrong. Now all he needs is a title like "Teflon Don".

I am going to stake a claim to he did not dope. Call me a fool, I believe Lance did, not Floyd.

Thats weak.... to take the word of a normal fuckstick who came out of nowhere to win the Tour, but to slam a proven champion that hasnt had so much as a blemish on his drug-record and who also has legitimate reasons why his body composition is the way it is which results in him being able to ride a bike like the fuckin ghostrider.

Any Armstrong hater is nothing but that in my opinion... a hater. :jenscat

My Landis theory,
It was a hail mary! He took some of everything on the table due to his frustration over the previous days performance and just happened to shoot a bit too much test or not enough epitest.
Pro cyclists are on top of their game when it comes to drugs. They know how to get away with everything! And we all know that test isn't going to improve cycling performance overnight. I'm sure he had atleast a few other drugs in his system at the time.
He just should have practiced his steroid denial speech.
I don't feel sorry for him, but I do still greatly admire him.
Can't wait for the next tour!!!!!!!!!!! And Dick pound should be shot!

I knew Lance in the late 80's-early90's. I will say I am very impressed with the ability, juice or not as I once was a serious rider as well. I also know that Floyd being on Lance's team had orders to hold back. The basic Scotty Pippen routine.

Floyd never had a mark on his record before, and in the past, there have been winners that have come from nowhere. Ulrich was a solid rider, but many believed not that caliber when he took off. Fignon was a solid classics rider (Milan-San Remo, Paris-Roubaix), look at his victory.

This is my main sport. I have always loved it and with or without these scandals, I'll still be roadside in a few stages this year (under that dark cloud) wondering what my life could have been if I stayed in the sport and supporting people I knew and the legends yet to be made.

Why don't they give the test results to these cyclists before they race? Instead, they wait til the guy wins the race, embarasses him, and strips him of any pride he may have. They shouldn't waste peoples time like that.

i agree 110% bro, well said

3 best cyclists since the 80s:

Hinault
Indurain
Armstrong

Too bad the last one (unlike the other 2) owes much of his glory to drugs

Cipollini? mostly in Italy

I should have added that I was only talking about those guys who made the History of Le Tour
From your list only Fignon and Lemond are worth mentioning IMHO

Cipo set a tour speed record. Bugno and Chiapet were great mountain climbers. Jalabert was a contender for a long time. Too bad Axle was never as good as his namesake "The Cannibal".

Glad someone else here actually knows these names :)

And Sean Kelly, you can't forget "that incident". So he was an honorable mention.

This year no Alpes D'Huez :(

I personally love the classics just as much, Ghent-Wevelgem, Paris-Roubaix, Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders...
