Floatie in the dart

Ok,

After pulling out 3'cc of decca and EQ, I noticed a small white floatie in the dart. It looked like a piece of rubber from the vial stopper. Me and my girl pondered the fact that it could not be good for me and threw away the dart and it's 3 cc's of gear (SHIT!).

I drew again from the vials and there it was again! A new floatie! We just figured it was always there, and shot it. No problems. I just wasted 3 cc's of gear when I first noticed it! Anyone else had this problem?

No, I have never had the problem of wasting 3ccs of gear, lol.

Sometimes you get the floaties. It's like wine and the cork, are you gonna toss out the whole bottle of wine because you have some floaties?

Where does it come from? The 18g needle slices off a piece?

Yeah, it just cuts it off, and the needle's bore is big enough that it just goes right in the syringe. Another good reason to switch to a smaller gauge needle.

Not to mention the harpoon factor.

Next time just tip the needle upsidedown and let the floaty go to the bottom. Then put most of the oil back into an empty steril bottle, making sure not to get the rubber back in the bottle.

Same thing happened to me with two of my bottles. I'm never using 18guage to load again
