Flexabilty

New member
Hello all

Ive been stretching almost every day to start gettting flexable. I have never been extremely flexable but am really looking into it... plus minus, how long would you say it shoudl take to be able to do say, the splits?

its an indivudual thing.......do some pilates...when Iwas doing them I recovered form the gym much faster

yes...it is.....stay with it....it was humbling for me in the beginning.....stay with it though

Just keep working at it. My point of panic was when I couldn't do splits. When I was doing karate several times / week, splits up the wall. Now its been awhile, but I expect I can get it back in not too long. Just keep workign at your overal flexability but don't push it too hard. My right hip pops on a regular basis now because of an over-exuberant split I did while practicing my posing routine for my first show.

Mari's tape/DVD are pretty good (or are you going to the studio?)

Give it some time, Shadow's right it's totally individual and you lose flexibility with age if you don't do any kind of stretching.

Oh DUH on me.

I have them too.
I don't care what anyone says - they're great for the core.
I bought a set for all my girlfriends last xmas.

Which set you have?
Mine are a few years old - they've come out with some new ones and I'd love to know how what they're like.

I guess I need to get me those as well. I have some generic pilates DVD, but I can actually get thru it pretty easily, and I"m not what I'd call in "optimal shape" right now.

Get the accelerated 50 min one.
