Flaxseed and Omega 3 capsules

Hi!
I have been reading so much on Flaxseed oil and the Omega 3's. Here is the thing. I have been taking the capsules. I unfortunatly bought HUGE bottles and want to take them instead of wasting them. Here is my question... How much is enough? I am trying to lose alot of weight. The capsules are each 1000 mg. I take 3 a day. Is this enough? Am I taking too much? Also I am taking Evening Primrose oil. Anyone heard of it? It was in this fat burning book to take so I am, not sure if it really works. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Wow that is alot, so I am not taking near enough. I guess I need to start taking more. Is it helping you lose weight, or are you maintaining? Thank you for your replies! It makes me feel welcome here since I am new! Take care and good luck!

Flax seed caps are worthless. You way overpay for them. I recomend 10-15 grams of flax oil a dayfor every 50 ibs of bodyweight, with 15 for those who are lighter. This means if you are a 100 ibs female that is 30 of those caps a day. Save yourself some $$$ and buy the oil and drink it or mix it with something else. Shop around and you can get it cheap. There are 14 grams (14,000 mg) in each tbs. So 2 tbs a day would cover it for you. I would recomend adding 5-10 fish oil caps a day for EPA and DHA, although this is less necissary for women, who convert ALA (found in flax oil) to EPA and DHA at a much higher rate than men.

I personally just buy organic flax seeds and grind them in a coffee grinder. Each tbs of seeds has 10 grams of flax oil in it. I Eat 8 tbs a day of this, and take 10 fish oil caps a day.

3 grams of flax oil is virtually nothing, and will only make a difference in individuals who have a horrible diet to begin with.

as a girl you can probably spread 3 to 6 pills 3 times per day. don't have to eat them at every meal, it depends kind of what diet you are following

you should also be having fish oil though, although you only need like 4 pills per day of those

why does it suck compared to hemp

Because for the Omega fats to be most effective they have to be in the right proportion. Hemp oil is the only oil on the market (100% natural) that has the perfect balance of Omega 3/6/9 fats, tons of ALA etc.... Read up on it you'll see. Flax is good but imbalanced. Generally flax is a good second choice behind Hemp.
