I recently joined the forums and i'm learning a great deal. I have a few fitness/weight training related questions because when it comes to this, i'm unfortunately ignorant.
I'm 22, male, 6'0 tall and 178lbs. I'm not toned and not defined at all. In fact, I have lovehandles and a belly and not a great looking chest either. I haven't been in a gym in 3 years. I'm not overweight and I do look slim however I have lots of body fat.
I recently joined a gym trying to get back into shape. My question to you is this. I want to burn fat as much as possible, get defined/tone up (flat stomach), lose the belly/lovehandles, and at the same time bulk up a little bit and gain muscle mass/strength. I understand this takes time, and I am a patient person. I realize I won't see results overnight and I'm focused and dedicated this time.
What sort of exercises should I be doing at the gym? Should I be taking protein shakes and creatine? If yes, when? What type of foods should I be eating and how should they be prepared?
