Fish Oil

Udo's Choice Oil... look it up, great stuff.

:coffee:

Udos oil like all plant derived omega 3 sources is poor. It provides ala which has to be converted in the body to epa/dha. This is inefficient by about 50% and hampered by low mineral intake or saturated fat intake within a certain period.
Udos oil is highly omega 6s and 9s.
Omega 6 the modern diet contains far too much of in the first place and omega 9s can be found simply in olive oil. For omega 3s fish is the best choice and as i have stated all scienific research only shows harm in going over 4g epa/dha daily

Agreed the liquid form is MUCH more economical. I've used liquid fish oil before and feel I should warn that the taste and aftertaste is really awful. So bad that every once in a while I'd gag on it and, to put it delicately, need to take another dose :worried: . And I am not generally sensitive to nastiness in my supplements.

Having said that, I do recommend the liquid fish oil. Just understand that it is probably one of the most vile substances you will ever consume.

Yeah, it tastes bad. Try putting it with stuff. I actually put mine in my protein shakes with a lot of scoops of protein. You'll get used to it. If you take it raw though you're more of a man than me.

Be careful with high doses of omega-3's. If it's not purified, it might contain high levels of mercury and/or PCB's.

To my knowledge, only one brand that is purified is available over-the-counter (OmegaRx). Omecor is a prescription product that is purified. Both of these contain extremely high levels of EPA and DHA.
