Do you know if there is a difference (as for EFAs) between fish oil (which is a blend of different species) and salmon oil ?

Good question ;)

Yes it does go to www.carlsonlabs.com and there you will see that fish oil has more in it per ml then salmon oil.....The 500ml fishoil bottles are the best I ever had and no more fish burbs....they taste like lemon no fish taste at all :)

Thx a lot :supercool

BUT the EPA/DHA ratio is better for salmon oil than for fish oil

=> conclusion : both are good :)

I've heard that salmon is less likely to be contaminated but I can't confirm this from any study I've seen. I use salmon oil and I've found refrigerating it helps with the fish burps, I don't get them.

Salmons are not "rich" in mercury like big tunas but they may contain PCBs which are highly toxic
