Just got through doing a glute injection. I have always aspirated and I've done hundreds of glute shots and never seen anything but a bubble or 2 when i aspirate until about 10 minutes ago. I aspirated and seen something dark in the syringe. So I pulled out and looked at the syring and the end was filled with blood. I always shoot in the same general location on each glute, about a 2" circle I always stay within. Never have had a problem. Anyway, just posting this cause I guess it is important to aspirate, I had about decided long ago that it was useless aspirating in the glute but this really surprised me.
Anyone "with experience" ever aspirated in the glute and hit a vein after shooting in that location tons of times before with never even a drop of blood?
