Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a while, but this is my first post on the forum. I'd like a few opinions on how to run a successful gh & anavar cycle.

Current stats:
24 year old female
5'7" height
155-160 lbs
18.6% bf
Training for 6 years
Current training: 5 day split, cardio 5-6x week @ 30mins (SS & hiit included + 1 plyo session)
Current nutrition: 6-7 meals, about 1450cals, 200g pro, 85g carbs (20g fiber), 32g fats

Have run clen before 2 weeks on/2 off (3 cycles) to cut up for summer 2009, but looking to try gh & var to compete in heavyweight bb division in 4-5 months.

For my first cycle of var & gh I was thinking of running both simultaneously for 12-16 weeks... 2 IUs gh in morning on empty stomach and 20mg anavar per day.

I have a heavy background in physiology, exercise science, and nutrition, but have little experience with AAS. Have done plenty of research and am ready to take the next step. I'm curious what others think of my proposed dose and cycle length for a female and your experiences with either of these components? Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well....
 
If it is your first cycle of var I would say 10 mg would be more then enough as well as 1 iu of GH per day. Both split into dose's am and pm. Make sure to drop the GH 3-4 weeks prior to contest to drop the water weight you will gain from it.

If you could give us an exact break down of what you are eating and drinking in an average day at what times etc we could help more there as well.

I've got 6-7 meals planned out so I'm eating every 2 hours... I have been working with an IFBB Pro for about a year now who takes care of all my nutrition and tweaks it when necessary (and varies my training as well). He suggested the var @ no more than 20mg and gh @ no more than 2IUs per day while running both through 12-16 weeks of contest prep. I think I feel comfortable trying 10mgs and 1IU for now though since its my first cycle.

I'm curious on your thought to split the the doses of both between AM and PM??? I was thinking var in the AM and gh before bedtime, both on empty stomach... any particular reason for splitting? (Still doing my research before I start!)
 
Var you split cause the half life is only 9 hours and first time taking it I would have it with a meal. My first cycle did bother me on an empty stomach but now it doesn't. GH is split to help keep the levels even as well take it early in the morning like 5-6 a.m. after your natural production at night a stoped then take it again late afternoon 2-4 this way your body will have a constant stream of GH.
 
I always tell people to try one thing at a time. If you try two new things you don't know which is doing what. What if you respond to one and not the other? How would you know? You could spend years flushing money down the toilet on something that does nothing for you.
Basic science dictates you try one substance and analyze the results. After that you can add in another and then document the difference.
I would not rush into anything. Its your body and you are stuck with it for the rest of your life.
I have always been a fan of using the least amount necessary to achieve your desired results.
So what I am saying I guess is I would start with one or the other and start at a small dose. That is just me though.

Ok so I've been 9 days on gh, low-dose .5 IU so far. Gonna add in var starting tomorrow 5mg only for now. Visually, fat loss is continuing with my nutrition and training--great there. So tell me though, as a woman on my first cycle, is it possible that I really am noticing/feeling harder and stronger after just mere days on such a low dose?

Normally when I low-carb, I'm completely flat and deflated til a carb-up day, but currently on the gh, I'm very firm everywhere. My lifts on EVERY bodypart have increased this week--squats, deads, leg presses, military presses, benching... So I don't think its my mind playing tricks on me. I've hit new personal records on one lift or another every day this past week. Possible or placebo-effect, haha, either way, I'm pleased so far...

Only drawback is getting slight headaches almost daily--not painful, but more annoying than anything. Slight water retention too, ehh no biggie. More water needed to combat retention and headaches? Any thoughts?

With 9 days it is probably more placebo effect then anything if you had been on the var for 9 days then I would say yes that is possible. How much water are you drinking?

Water is at 1.5 gallons per day. Headaches are very slight, but I do notice a little something almost daily so I'm going to keep it at .5 IU gh and wait it out right there for now.

That is a good amount of water which means yes the GH is likely causing the headache if it is only slight maybe take a baby asprin.

Feb 27th my weight was at 152 lbs. Now about 3 weeks later, I'm at 157 lbs and its messing with my head quite a bit! I'm sooooooo noticeably retaining water around my midsection and its driving me crazy. Water is at 1.5gal per day... no more headaches, AMAZING strength during lifting, midsection is completely watery, BAD.

Weekly average calories at 1400. KETOgenic diet, cardio 6x per week, 40mins. Carb ups Mon & Thurs.

Superqt: Could you tell me your experiences with this? How long til water retention dies down or what to do about it in the meanwhile? Its really messing with my head trying to cut down for competition while I'm shooting way up on the scale and completely watery looking.

The last time I took dbol I had someone notice the first day I took it!!! I couldn't believe it. They walked right up and said "wtf are you taking? Its obvious".
I thought that might have been random until the next day two more people at the gym said something. It might not be in your head!

Besides the watery midsection, yes, I have noticed a difference in my upper/mid back, my trouble-spot!! As a woman, I don't hold fat normally like in the lower half of waist/hips/thighs... so I'm sure that there is fat reduction since my most noticeable fat-storage area has cut up a bit more. I guess I'll deal with the watered-out look since I'm already drinking 1.5gal per day and I'll just cut the gh 4-5 weeks before competition and draw everything back in. Wish there was something to do to combat it now though and settle my girly-brain.

The IFBB Pro that's helping me said he is noticing an "entire recomposition" compared to what I looked like last year and people are commenting that my face is "drawing out" and looking thinner so I'm sure that something good is going on here.

I'll relax on the water-holding thing and stick to the long-term plan for now. Being 157 lbs and about 16% bf doesn't sound so bad after all, haha :dance2:
 
Everyone holds a bit of water from GH. Most AIDS patients didn't take what they were directed due to the pain it cause from swelling. The old sausage finger effect.
Don't worry about the weight. You will be pleased with your results!

Yeah I get a little bit of plumped up tingly fingers first thing in the morning... but I always got that all my life from sleeping with my hands tucked underneath my head... but its a bit more tingly now, nothing terrible.

The initial extra weight within 3 weeks was just a small shock at first, haha...
 
That is too funny. I would alternate which hand I put under my pillow so it would not cramp up too!

I'm really pleased I haven't had any other issues than tingly fingers and headaches the first 2 weeks that ended just as quickly. It's wild being on a ketogenic diet with barely any carbs and being full and hard all the time...

Oh and on Thursday when I carbed up, damn! Those carbs sucked the water right outta my mid-section and it was tight once again, just from that one little carb up. I am excited to see in a few months when I finish this all and do final contest prep what I'll look like!

For now, I'm gonna log my stats so I have somewhere to keep track:

Shoulders: 46.5"
Waist: 27"
Hips: 35.5"
Biceps: 13"

I must say... I'm starting to dread "weigh in day" on Saturday mornings. I've really gotta try harder to keep my head straight here. Weight is up to 160 lbs now and my bodybuilding coach told me last night I looked F'n AMAZING---his exact words.

I feel like I look like hell and I'm even questioning whether I'm leaning out or not!? I guess I'm just surprised I'm lifting 5x per week, cardio for 50mins 6x per week and eating 1400 cals and GAINING on the scale still. I've been on gh for a little over a month still and var for 3 weeks and my strength is incredible and my measurements are going up--quads/biceps/shoulders look big...

I feel like I'm not getting the leaning out effects I'm trying for and my brain is having a hard time with seeing the number climb each week. When beginning the gear, I know weight gain was a probability of occurring but being that its my first time using, I'm surprised and nervous I'm gonna spend the next 2-3 months on and still not be leaning out like I thought I would.

Around here, anavar is thought of as the "spring cutting cycle" for female competitors and I'm working with an IFBB 20 year pro so I'm sure he's got everything handled, but my head is really messing with me on this not leaning out as much as I thought...

I would switch sides that I was laying on when the cramping in the hand that wasn't under the pillow would drive me crazy. Left side, left hand under the pillow. Right side, right hand etc.
 
Just updating here for a bit, hello everyone! So still at 1 iu gh per day, 10mg var... strength continues to go through the roof in the weightroom (along with the funny looks and scaring a good portion of the men in there, lol!)...

Weight is holding right around 158-160 lbs--my usual home scale (171 on the gym scale!?! Not sure why there's such a difference?? Numbers are not important to me anyways since I'm getting the "look" I'm going for).

Leanness is apparent now and my water retention in the abs seems to be dieing down a bit. I'm solid everywhere and having some of the most amazing workouts ever. I'm so motivated and can't WAIT to compete!

***One thing: It seems to be getting more troublesome to pin myself. My first month and a half of AM/PM pins went well, but this past week it hurts just about EVERY time no matter which site I rotate to. I'm separating the fat from the muscle as best I can and I don't think it is water retention making me have a hard time pulling the skin... I'm not sure? Unless I'm holding the needle a different angle now or not doing it quick enough and trying to force it in.... ?? I've gotta figure this out...

Mentally/physically feel terrific, lost my TOM but oh well--its happened before.

Just did a 2 week Clen cycle, lost 6 lbs, tolerated it very well. Off for 2 weeks now and then adding in T3 with my next Clen cycle. Looking for opinions on how to dose T3 for a female with my stats.

Clen looks like this:
20/20/20/40/40/60/80/100/100/100/100/100/60/40/20

Was thinking of running T3 for those same 2 weeks like this:
12.5/12.5/12.5/25/25/25/37.5/37.5/37.5/37.5/25/25/12.5/12.5/12.5

I wouldn't go above 80mcg of clen a day the rest looks good to me.

Ok thanks. I'll see about adjusting the clen to only 80mcg as my max when I stack with T3... I've done my clen up to 100mcg alone in previous years, but taking it down a notch when stacking it with another powerful component makes sense :)
 
I suppose I'm gonna start posting in this thread I've created almost like its a journal to keep track of my updates during pre-contest. Dropped anavar a week ago, dropped 11 lbs in 7days.

Current:
1 IU gh daily
5mg Winny daily (only my 3rd day)
Clen/T3 cycle: 2 weeks on/2 off Clen.. However coach suggested I run T3 5 weeks on, 2 off, 5 weeks on again since I've got roughly 13 weeks til showtime.

Calories at 1300: 7 days ketogenic (carbs under 30g daily), 1 steak/brown rice cheat meal Saturday night.
Lifting split: 5 days, heavy.
Cardio @ 80 mins 6x/week: 60 AM, 20 PM for now..
Physically: Body feels great lately, noticeable improvement in joints, slight clen headaches--ehh no problem, motivation level HIGH!!

Goal: 13.5 weeks, drop 30 lbs. :D

Not sure how much of your kit you still have remaining, but if/when you resupply before the show I'd think fractionated GH (176-191) would be more appropriate than the full 191 chain peptide. And the fractionated GH definitely does not eat up LBM like T3 can.
