I'm too well versed in the atkins diet, but from what I understand, the diet works but it is best suited for less active people (people who do not train).

I would consider structuring your own diet with some of the atkins principles. I beleive that you would need more carbs than atkins allows, to keep up strength for your training.

Do you have re-feeds on atkins?

whats re-feeds? im gonna cheat about once a week. right now, im not interested in gaining strength, just maintaining. once i know for sure i can get down to 6-7% BF on this diet, im gonna bulk to 200 pounds, then go for 180 6-7% BF. im sure it will work. i just need a real good bulking diet :o

on CKD you have re-feeds once a week, day were you consume large quantities of carbs to restore glycogen levels, that way you are not drained of energy and can continue training. I guess your cheat day can be considered a refeed depending on what you eat.

becareful of your cheats oak
if you cheat do not eat high fat foods in the same meal
and you definitely need more fat on your regular atkins days
it works for what you and i are doing
for serious bb's ckd or body opus are better suited
but each person's bodies are different so good luck and let us updated on your results
