Finals Week Diet! Eek! Help!

As a gradstudent, this is my hell week...rather hell weeks. The next two weeks are going to be horendous! I usually do all my studying from the house, so it is easy to keep track of meals every 2hrs or what have you. But the next two weeks I will be in and out of the house a lot, and sitting in the library for hours at a time with no close by microwave or fridge to store clean food.

Girlfriend is flying in from Australia in two weeks (at the end of my finals) and I have worked my ass off, most importantly for myself, but for her as well. I don't want to be chugging down McDees and get all bloated the last two weeks.

No fear, my work out regimine will not be affected, as it is the only thing that will keep me sane this week and from a break down. But diet is going to be hard to maintain.

Suggestions on what to do this week are MUCH appreciated, and karma hits for all that can help. Just as a side note, FSU has a Planet Smoothie in the gym, so I can definitely take advantage of that. (Any suggestions on shakes I could try this week would be cool too!)

Thanks for the help guys, you rock!

I would suggest investing in some "easy/quick" protein fixes. Get some cans of tuna, easy to pop open and eat, hard boil a couple dozen eggs for anothe quick protein fix.

You may also think about investing in some MRP's. Not usually a fan of these, but for almost instant nutrition, tough to beat. You can also make up a shake that is high calorie and sip on it every chance you get.

This is a bit more time consuming, but what I do for instance contest week is make up all my meals on Sunday. Put them in tupperware or whatever, and in the freezer. Simply take out one when needed or put 2 or 3 in a cooler, and take them with you. All gas stations these days have microwaves. I have yet to run into one that said no, you cannot use ours.

First suggestions may be the best. Tuna would be tough, but I could take a midday break out to the car and eat.

I also prepare all my meals on sunday afternoon for the week, and place 5 meals in seperate containers per day for the week. But this just doesn't help. Don't have a cooler I could be taking that much food with me into the library. But that is a moot point in itself. Lugging a full bag of books, etc to the library and finally finding a table, getting all spread out, and then having to pack up to leave to go find a microwave on the other side of campus to come back to the library and do it all over is just too difficult.

Hardboiling a bunch of eggs that I can deshell before I leave for the day, and throw in a paper sack, and then grabing a large smoothie at eatery next to the library will be the easiest.

Was thinking maybe throwing a bunch of unsalted peanuts into a baggie to munch on through the day might work too.

When you eat tuna, do you eat it straight out of the can? Or with some low fat mayo or wheatbran crackers? Straight out of the can must put hair on your chest... :shiver: ;)

LOL....only in emergencies would I do such a thing(tuna right out of the can). But, we as bodybuilders have been known to put up with some pretty nasty stuff if it promises gains.

Good luck to you, and maybe investigate the MRP avenue. They are quick and easy, a shaker cup, water, mix and chug. Not ideal I know, but in a pinch......
