Finally, my place is clean

For the last couple of months, my place had become a filth pit. Me and roomate had not cleaned anything at all, besides maybe washing the dishes and other simple shit like that. But the kitchen, specially the floors and the bathrooms were disgusting.

Generaly we are very clean, atleast for guys, and no more than 2 weeks would pass by before we cleaned the house. This semester though, aside from working full time, we are both attending evening classes, including Saturday classes so we just haven't had time to do anything.

We finally wound up hiring a cleaning lady, she came by yesterday and cleaned up the place. OMFG, it feels and smells so clean in here, I had even forgotten that the toilets were white.

She now has a weekly gig.

We payed her $60 yesterday for about 4 hours of work and we will pay her $40 every week from now on. The first one (yesterday) was the hardest becuse of how filthy the place was. It shouldn't be too bad for her now, should be just a quick clean up job every week.

Cleaning is the best way for illegals to make money. It's all tax-free too, a really good deal for them.

It's weird, here in Texas we have to pay maids a lot like that too.. $15-20/hour for a good one.. but we only have to pay construction workers a few bucks.
