Finally got a 1911

On sat I bought the Springfield Armory GI 1911a1 high capacity. It's an exact replica of the WWII 1911a1 with GI sights and all. 13 rnd mags. Got a great deal on it ($110 off msrp) now I just need the weather to clear up so I can go shoot.

Mountain Muscle- now we are on even ground since we both have 1911's, We'll see how mine stacks up to the Kimber.

Now you will have no excuses when I outshoot you. Taking mine to the smith to replace the barrel, springs, etc.
And don't fret, you will have another opportunity to not shoot better than me when I get my .223 to match your AK you pinko.
For now it looks like I will be heading up to North Dakota or Montana after the Mexico trip to do some lateral wells for Directional Plus unless things fall apart for some reason, it is the oilfield after all.
Seems like I always get sent to the tundra in the middle of winter. WTF.
BTW better make The Firing Line your best friend for now. I still shoot in the cold and snow and will be practicing in the tundra too.

I am pretty excited about it, got a box of 500 .45acp for $82 along with it. I'll shoot in the cold but we had 100mph winds here yesterday and I was afraid my car wouldn't make it up to the hills (LOL).

Let me know when you are going to be around and we'll work something out.

Oh and I like being a pinko bastard since I can buy four of mine for one of yours. So nenenenener.

Double stack 5" barrel? I forgot to ask. I have one 10 round mag but the spring sucks in it and it sticks out pretty far.
That's okay though, I won't need more than my normal 7 rd. mags to beat you. Bwahahah!
As insurance I am going to train my dog to sick scots and bite anyone in a kilt.

Save your casings for if you don't already reload .45 though. I will let you know when I will be in town or passing through for a few days. sounds like i am going to be busy as hell when things get going since they are short-handed with guys who have gamma experience and you know how quickly lateral wells drill.
Thank god I am done with that little double Italian rig from Fla. The toolie didn't believe me that have pumps outside, not circulating air or water and dead-heading water to your brakes and Hydromatic would freeze the whole system up. We didn't even have a boiler or windwalls and the doghouse has yet to be rigged up.
Encana shut us down lol.
Besides I don't need a crew with 3 months total experience that I have to show everything and make hole at the same time. My derrickman couldn't even get back 1 stand of 5 inch heavy-wate.

Yeah double stack, 5" barrel. Poly grips, parkerized.

Is that gonna be like in Stand By Me? Chopper sick balls.

LOL Encana they pulled the plug on one of our jobs recently too.

Sucks you are on an inexperienced crew, couldn't even pull back one rack of heavy? Did they send you some poindexterworm that weighs a buck 10 or something. Looks like I'm heading to Wyoming again soon(Gillette) for some conventional coring(my favorite). Let me know when you hit up D-town and I'll keep my casings, I got steelies this time.

i love the feel of a 1911. fits my hand perfect. i personally do not own one but my brother has a kimber 45cal. was thinking about trading up for one a little while ago for glock 22 model and a beretta 96g brig. elite. just could not part with the beretta. congrats on the 1911 though.
