Finally dropping fat!

Lee

New member
Finally, after trying different meals, different meal timings, and doing cardio every day i dont lift, i lost 2 pounds in 2 days! Im down to 215, some water weight of course, but I'm sure I can keep dropping the pounds and maintain my muscle. Im so stoked on this, I haven't been this happy about weight loss in a while. My goal is 9% bodyfat, I can't wait!

I am on the same thing. I have lost 7 pounds in 10 days, down to 213. I am going nuts though. I swear I am getting smaller, even though I am not sure if I am. My measurements are still the same, but when I look in the mirror I swear i am so much smaller. Don't know what is going on. I have never dieted before so this is all new to me. Gotta try and stick with though.

I've just started tightening up my diet and adding in some cardio as a result of a variety of negative excuses that didn't do my BF% a world of good. Good luck mate!

Congrats!! Keep working hard my friend!!

Thank you very much, people on here are so uplifting. Makes people more determined and much more confident to have awesome people compliment them. I'll be posting some new pics in about a week. They'll be comparison pics from me a month ago when I last posted my pics. Hopefully I've gotten a little bigger and a little leaner.

Rus dont worry about the mirror, the mind likes to play dirty tricks on us

yes, yes it does. i remember when i first started loosing weight back when i weighed 250, i thought i looked fatter, even though i lost 10 pounds, it was weird. then when i got down to 220, i saw a picture of me when i was 250 and could see a huge difference, it was an awesome feeling.

dont drop carbs too low or else you will "look smaller". drop calories mainly from fat and protien. try to keep carbs as high as you can to keep muscles totally full and pumped looking. and plus you will feel better mentally and not binge out on carbs because you will already be getting plenty of carbs unless you drop them too low

good work to you fat losing machines. I myself am down to a svelt 285 right now shooting for 270-275 that should get me around 12% bf. Which should be a great platform for powerlifting.

Keep up the good work and don't get discouraged when the losing slows down.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Thanks man. Lee, what does your diet look like now in terms of amounts of carbs, protetin etc.?

i would say that anything more than 1.5-2 lbs loss per week is water. this could be why you look smaller

its not super strict, just more balanced and healthy than a normal diet. i have pretty set meals most of the time, something like this.

breakfast: 3 whole eggs, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 glass fat free milk
lunch: protein bar and protein shake
after school: 3 whole eggs, 1 serving cottage cheese
post workout: some sort of meat (steak, porkchop, etc) 1 can spinach or green beans, 1 serving cottage cheese, some milk

these can vary depending on whats avaliable to eat in my house, its working fine for me so i dont think im gonna change it.

The lowered carbs are definitely why you look smaller and flat. Good luck.

well i went from the atkins diet to this, so i dont wanna gorge on carbs, ill slowly eat more and more carbs though.
