fina cutting cycle questions

I am about to start a 6-wk cutting cycle. I was wondering if anyone could critique my diet and workout routine (the drug regimen cannot be altered).

STATS
Current: 6'1", 210, 14% bf
Goal: 205, 10% bf (ie, lose approximately 10 lbs bf, gain approximately 5 lbs muscle)

CYCLE
- Drugs: Fina 34.5cc/ed, NYC 2tabs, 3xs/day
- Weight training: 3 days/wk
- Cardio: 4 days/wk (45-60 min)
- Diet: 2475 kcal, 36% protien (220g), 33% carbs (200g), 31% fat (85g)

My biggest question is about the diet. On the one hand, this is a cutting cycle, so conventional wisdom suggests that I should drastically reduce calories. On the other, I am already doing cardio 3-4hrs/wk, and I would like to maintain (or even add?) as much muscle as possible.

Thanks in advance for your help,
S.

Cutter?Switch your macronutient profile around.
Protein-50-60%
Carbs-20-25%
Fats-20-25%

Protein requires more energy output just to DIGEST,hence more calories burned through its assimilation as opposed to carbs or fat,so it should make up the main stay of your meals.

You want to lower the carbs to decrease insulin sensitivity. This is crucial for entering ketosis and burning fat.

BTW,I hope you have a ton of clomid,as fina-only is going to be rough on your H-P-T-A.

I was about the same stats as you and my regimen looked the same and the fat loss was beginning to slow. I started running sprints about 3 times a week(20 minute sessions) and got a big metabolism boost. I think also that the sprints might have a hunger blunting effect as opposed to low-impact card which leaves me starved after 45min. You could even have 2 low impact days for 45min and 2 20 minute sprints/intervals days

I would also add 50mgs prop with .5 mgs of anastrozole ED. Your goals will be a bit more attainable like this and the sprints will definitly add to the "look". If you find your self losing more than 3lbs/week or you start feeling real sluggish then I would RAISE YOUR PROTEIN AND CARBS slightly since you may not be burning too many cals. I've been experimenting with this for several mos now and I've found that raising my cals slightly while still doing sprints allows me to still look full and lean.

I've gotten to where I do 2 days sprints and keep my cals at about 12x bodyweight and I can always see my abs. You may need more than 6 weeks to experiment with your diet, but I think you can achieve your goals when you find what works.

an important part of the high protein diet

What are the benefits of adding ginger to a high protein diet?

Ginger isn't a part of my diet :(
should I supplement it?

Increases absorbtion and utilization of proteins,so less are excreted without being assimilated.Ginger Root Extract is cheap and can be found at any health food store.

i dont think muscle gain is realistic considering the doses of gear you are running, but fat loss/muscle preservation is very likely, i would go with hucks diet, but maybe lower fat intake. i would also consider adding ALA into the mix, 3000mg/ed should be a nice dose

Thank you for your responses, guys. This information is really helpful. I just have a couple of follow-up questions.

HUCKLEBERRY FINNaplex, do you think it is absolutely necessary to do a low-carb diet to lose weight? Whenever I cut back on carbs, I always feel tired and sluggish in the gym.

Elapid, the idea of adding sprints sounds great. Can you tell me what sort of diet you are using. Are you on a low-carb, high protien diet, too?

cheers!
S.

Oops, one other thing I forgot to ask -- do you guys think my overall caloric intake looks right? too much? too little?

thx again,
S.

A keto diet is definitely the most effective way to get ripped, but if you're overly concerned about geting in carbs,go with the above suggestion and take in an ample amount of Alpha-Lipoic acid with each carb-containing meal.It will help as a nutrient partitioning agent to shuttle more of the carbs you consume into the muscle cell as opposed to being stored as fat.
