filter clogging...

My whatmans filters that came with my syno kit are clogging fast. I barely have 50 ml and 2 filters are super slow drip now.

Is something wrong with my stuff ? The stuff that has been filtered looks clear and fine. This sucks its taking forever to do this...

You didn't let it sit over night and let the junk settle....it would have made filtering a whole lot easier.

Ahhh shit I had a feeling that I didn't let it sit long enough. Plus I think my apartment is really dusty I got floor runner heaters so air circulation is terrible so I think while it was drying it might of gotten some dust settleing on it.

Ok the rest of it has been sitting for 3 days now while I just got 5 more whatmans filters delivered today heh. Thanks for the reply.

I just ordered a 10G kit.
Do you think I should order more filters ?

BTW this will be my first time making it.

This is my take on it. Some people don't mind sitting there with their thumb on a syringe waiting for the last drops to come out. For me I would rather just buy more filters and get it done fast.

Someone told me to get pre-filters next time too. Sounds like a good idea. Next time I'm gonna get some pre-filters and more whatmans.
