Fiber as Carbs

Why is it that some product contain like 10 carbs total but then the manufaturer will subtract the 8 grams of fiber to label the product as 2 carbs total now wont that mess up my carb totals for an CKD diet. I was just wondering why fiber is labled under carbs if they subtract them as not being carbs.

they have no impact on blood sugar, and are passed through the body not being absorbed.

Strange is it may seem they are not digested, but HELP digestion. However, I've seen some people drop out of Ketosis because the manufacturer was MISLABELING the product (this was all tested on a Ketone meter). Consequentially, I say it's a great way to look at carbs, but overall the risk of dropping out of ketosis due to the manufacturer is absurd and I would NOT risk it.

Thanks for the reply guys, especially being from 2 of the most educated peeps on this board, thats some crazy shit though so if something has 10carbs and 9 are fiber then its cool to eat? I was wondering cuz I saw some keto cinnamon bread and it was like 10g carbs and like 8 fiber and I was like "How the hell is that Keto?" and now I know THANKS
