Feeling an Intense pain

on my entire left side abdomen area... Its been on and off for the past 5 days. The pain gets so intense at times I'm near puking... I know I know I should go to the doc.. Im stubborn in that way...


Could it be a bladder.. kindey.. or urinary trac infection? Water intake is good.. over a gallon a day. No discomfort when I do go to the restroom.. so I'm not quite sure what could be causing it....

Anyone... Any ideas?

I feel like a different person and being pig headed just wasted a 1 1/2 of my life.


Please don't do what I did - go find out it's something minor or nothing at all than waiting longer and finding something.

I have been putting it off.. always bigger and harder things to deal with.. but I know this constant pain will become a hindrance to my training for weeks on end....

This is a different pain from what we had discussed earlier... VIA Pm .. its not the knot on my right side, That I am indeed gonna get checked.

Maybe an ovarian cyst??? I hear they can be extremely painful. In fact, I had a friend in high school that had one explode... she was on the ground, could barely move.

Sugar.. Lately its painfull all the time.. but yes seems like more pain after I eat. Never had gall stone.. eeekkk

Lucid... I've had that before and ended up at the docs office had an ultra sound and they said it was a huge cyst that bursted.. I know what you mean by on the ground in pain... that maybe it also.. didn't give that much thought.. hmm...

If it is a cyst.. I don't think there is anything they can do about it.. If i remember correctly, everyone gets them.. some go unoticed. After my burts they told me my body would absorb the fluids..

Ok that sounds a tad bit gross.. lol

its not going to my shoulders.. but it does shoot down my leg.. beneath my ribcage and in my lower back... Its sometimes to the point that even a breath kills me.

Could be an ovarian cyst -- I had one so bad I couldnt' stand up, severe pain -- some cysts do require surgery, so don't ignore it...... And ever since I had the darn thing, I have pain every time I ovulate.

Does it feel like an internal thing or a muscle thing? I think one time on a nutty balls to the wall leg day I did some heavy leg presses too deep and I bruised a rib or something.

It feels more internal... like a deep stabbing pain that goes thru and thru... sharp but lingering.

If the pain persists or strengthens they are gonna fit me in this evening.. if not then I'll have to wait till mid week next week. Busy with the holidays.

I have had both ovarian cysts, and Kidney stones. With the ovarian cysts I had cramps in the side of my abdomen so intense it felt like somebody stuck with me a knife, and they would make me fall to the ground and almost pass out. They put me on Birth Control which is suppose to help deteriorate them, and it worked.
Kidney stones feels like a constant numbing, throbbing sensation in your back. When you start to pass one I hear it's compared to child birth. I just know I couldn't sit/stand/walk/talk/think anything. It felt like somebody was stabbing me in my back over and over, and I actually almost strangled the nurse trying to get some pain medicine (seriously, gotta love military hospitals). Needless to say once they pumped that through my vein and got some x-rays done they could see that my one kidney was blocked up. I tell you what once that baby passed I was ready to go home and slept like 16 hours.
Always a good idea to go to the doctor!!!! You never know what you may have and if you can figure out the earlier the better!

Was feeling pretty good during the day... Wasn't until training that it flared up again. The only thing I started new as for supps is my multivitamin.. i've always had issues with vitamins.. even when I was prego.. couldn't take the prenatal vitamins. I wonder if this has anything to do with it..

Started the vits on wed and intense pain by Friday...

They prolly wont' be able to see me until mid week next week... or in the ER.. which I am soo trying to avoid.

Taking the MEGA woman by Gnc.. low iron ones...

I'm just throwing things out.. things that are diffent now from before the pain.. more than likely its a Cyst.. sounds exactly as treilin describes it.. and felt similar when i had it before.. brings me to my knees.. the pain is so intense.

I had something like that and it was acid reflux...I just get a horrible pain...no acid. Could be gallsbladder

I took the GNC Mega for women and it made me nauseous, and sick to my stomach. It is way to potent and that was only taken one vitamin... I couldn't imagine taking both like it decribes on the back. I now take their Mega Green multi-vitamin brand that they have, and I only take one even though it says two. I haven't had any issues.

Still a slight pain .. but no where near how it was night before last. called the nurse back and explained what I was feeling.. she said it was possible that being now I am only experiencing some soreness it was indeed a cyst that ruptured... But thats all guessing.

I only feel some tenderness now, hopefully,its all over...
