These licenses were already being eyed two years ago for this exact reason. That's why the NetScape founder bought Iridium in bankruptcy court years ago.

Hardware manufacturers are salivating already at all the new wi-fi hardware they'll be selling. This is fantastic news for rural areas where running cables is not applicable (eg: alaska).
