Synephrine does have less of an effect on the beta 1&2 but it still stimulates the CNS.
Synephrine acts as a stimulant once inside the body, although it does metabolize and cascade differently than ephedrine and caffeine.
I guess without knowing why the OP can't take a stimulant, (ie. perhaps he is taking an MAOI or something that inhibits the CYP450). It may be best to avoid all stimulants since the effects can be amplified in many cases, even in the case of taking a soft-stimulant such as synephrine.

Not classified as a CNS. I guess if you're ultra sensitive you might want to start with a low dose. Personally I can't take any stims and I have no problem with ZIP. Even green tea can be classified as a stim.
