Fast-twitch muscle type?

Since my return to the gym (3 months ago), I've noticed I don't seem to be building up any endurance to finish strong in my workouts, but I always start out very strong. I've made VERY quick gains in my body, all naturally so far.

I have a generic understanding of the difference between slow and fast twitch athletes, and what each of their capabilities are, and I'm thinking I must lean toward fast-twitch. I'm basing that on my history, such as the fact as I was always a better sprinter than long distance runner, was great at baseball but couldn't handle soccer, etc.

Also, fast-twitch as I've researched, implies that one is prone to be more of a power lifter....I'm not really setup that way either. Can you be a fast-twitch bodybuilder without being a power lifter type? Most importantly, does anyone have a link (or can copy/paste) the best workout routines for someone with a fast-twitch muscle type (reps, sets, rest between, etc.)? Thanks!

The type of muscle fiber you are dominant in is trainable 85%. Unless you were dunking at the age of 11 or winning marathons at the same age then you fall into the middle of the bell curve.

Training for it depends on what you want to do.

Slow twitch muscle fiber doesn't get big. Slow twitch dominant people are marathon runners and triathlon runners etc.

Fast twitch fiber comes in two types. Size over power or power over size. Bodybuilders train for the former and explosive athletes the later.

If you want to get big then do 10 set reps of whatever. If you want to get powerful do 3-5 set reps of whatever.
