Fake Tans - the obsession

Hello All,

Okay, so I understand why someone might use a tanning bed if they were getting ready for a comp, but what is the fucking obsession amongst white people in sun starved countries with the tanning bed in general. I come from the North of England and it is once cold place, yet every second motherfucker here has a fake tan. Its not just the girls, but the guys as well. A tan in England!! Who the fuck do these guys think they're kidding. Are all other "sun Starved" countries as bad, or is it just those people living here?

Yes.. Tanning specifically when it gets colder makes you feel better..

I used to tan all year, I don't anymore because i want to keep my skin nice.. but if anyone could prove to me tanning wouldn't make me into a wrinkle old bat as i get older, i would continue doing it in a heart beat

I have no idea why people want a tan (fake or otherwise). Of course, I was born with a perma tan on so I can't complain...

Don't worry Gregory, I don't stay awake at night worrying about it or anything!! Just something I find hard to understand. The shopping here is shit. If you want a new shirt or a decent gift for a friend, forget about it. If you want a new tan - every second shop can give you one. Walked the town for 2 hours yesterday trying to find a suitable wedding present for a friend and couldn't find one. Maybe that's whats left me pissed off today!

lol that shit's gross. People don't realize you need to put your arms out so you can tan underneath.

And another thing is nasty when those girls with fatty asses have that little crease that does not get tan when they go to the tanning bed.

I live in florida and there is a tanning bed every 38 feet, I dont tan anymore because I had skin cancer on my face.

FL here as well and I had a bought with skin cancer so I don't tan in the sun or in beds anymore either.

I hate being a pale Irish girl so a few times a year I treat myself to a few sessions in the spray tanning booth. I'd do it year round but it's a pain in the ass to keep up.

The color I get from the spray tan is natural looking but it's very hard to get the ankles and feet done right. I've started wearing socks into the spray machine every 2 out of 3 times I use it and just using a tanning lotion at home so I can get it even. The place I go to is reasonable, 10 sessions for $100 and they offer even more of a discount if I wanted to buy more at a time. I have to go once every 5 days to keep it up. The most annoying part is having to wait 8 hrs. after you tan to shower.
