Fake GH?

OGTT is a test for how well the body clears glucose from the blood stream.
GH interferes with blood glucose clearance, because it induces temporary insulin resistance. This should be measurable, therefore I attempted to measure it

Basically it involves measuring your baseline blood glucose levels upon waking, ingesting 75g glucose in water, and then measuring glucose levels at various times.

Did this first with no GH involved. Here's the baseline readings:
Upon waking, 7:30 AM BG: 85 mg/dL
7:40 AM Ingested 75g glucose solution
8:10 AM BG: 148 mg/dL
9:10 AM BG: 88 mg/dL
10:10 AM BG: 85 mg/dL(back to baseline again)

Repeated this test again, but introduced GH to the equation:
10:10 AM Baseline BG: 85 mg/dL. Administered 10 i.u's of generic GH intra-muscularly
10:25 AM Ingested 75g glucose solution
10:55 AM BG: 150 mg/dL
11:55 AM BG: 90 mg/dL
12:55 PM BG: 83 mg/dL

Unless some step was faulty such as not waiting long enough for the GH to assert its insulin-resistance inducing property, the logical conclusion is that the GH tested is of very, very poor quality. Perhaps the second test should have been done on a different day?

I had GH therapy two years ago. It took almost 1 month to see insulin resistance which changed my carb-to-insulin ratios (i'm diabetic) - I do not believe it is an immediate side effect. Also, if you are using an OTC diabetic meter, you must test twice each time testing, one time on one hand and the other time on the other hand, different finger, same time of day. Insulin resistance changes during the course of the day - the body is typically more insulin resistant upon waking.

10iu to test your GH - seems like a waste of 10iu. :p

Thank you, finally a straight answer. And it's not a waste if it's fake. It's also not a waste if it's real

you would get better results from runing gh for a few weeks and then getting your IGF levels tested.

Not a good idea. I'm not rich so I use insurance to pay for blood tests. An elevated igf level could only mean one of 2 things to an insurance company: either you're a using hgh or you have cancer. Either way they'll jack up your rates, or worse deem you as having a pre-existing condition

rich? I think the IGF test is only $80.00US...
