Fact or Fiction

THought I'd throw some of those questionable statements out there to see what different perspectives there are

1) "It's possible to drink too much water so that you will retain more and gain weight"
a few people have told me that, not many though...personally I think this is fiction

2)"It's possible to eat too often during the day. It is best to wait two hours after a meal to let food digest"
I've heard this a couple times too, I'm mystified

3)"You should not eat 30+ minutes before lifting. Ideally wait between 45-75 minutes"
I'm not sure about this either, although it would seem tough to workout if you eat a big meal before

4)"Buffalo wings are fine for you on the CKD"
Simply wishful thinking, although I wish someone would tell me it was true.

1.) I have found the more water I drink, the less I retain. I guess there is a limit there somewhere, but I have not found it.

2)I split my meals by 2 1/2 to three hours, but I have no clue as to why your body would stop digesting food just becuase you ate more, but I am not an expert.

3)I do not eat close to training becuause I have lost it on the floor of the gym a couple of times. I would think that would be something you would have to try to see which way works best.

4.) The wings are fine, just can't use any sauce that has a lot of carbs.

1. Fiction - it is just the opposite.

2. True, the body needs time to absorb the nutrients.

3. You should not eat before lifting because when the body is digesting, it burns energy. This energy is needed for lifting.

4. Wings are fine, but most sauces have a lot of carbs.

1: false, however you can drink enough water to casue swelling of the brain, which will kill you, if you really work hard at it. Two gallons a day shouldn't be a problem though.

2: false, the higher your meal frequincy the better. 6 meals a day is better for bodybuilding that 3. 10-12 is ideal.

3: you should eat immediately before and after lifting.

4: buffalo wings are fine, as long as a low or zero carb sauce is used.

No shit about the water me and my brother just got into an argument about it, we looked on Yahoo search and went to WebMD and they said if you drink like 3 gallons of water in one sitting, you can get water poisioning, and you have to go to the hospital you cant just sleep it off, but that is like 3 gallons of water in like 30 minutes so very impossible but yet very possible if you are determined enough to try and get into a coma.

Right, people have died from it, but it isn't common. It is rather difficult to do.

Nutritional science and girl's asses pretty much...

A double major in both. Actually, I find a woman's stomach to be her sexiest bodypart though. The popularity of exposed mid-drifts today is a deam come true for me. Its the equivilant of what it would be like for most guys, if women just started walking around with two holes cut in their shirts for their tits to hang out of.

1] false, it is the oposite

2] it depends on the size (in calories) of what you eat
small, easy digestible meals every 2 - 1/2 hours is OK

3] it also depends on what you've eaten
you should not train after a high P+F+C meal for instance

4]quite good

Fiction, at least for me. I don't ever seem to have a problem with it or a bloated feeling that one supposedly gets when drinking water and eating food at the same time.
