Faced with too few physicians, California offers free medical school

Inland Empire is nothing but old farts and left coast hillbillies. They don't call Fontana "Fontucky" for nothing. You'd have to offer free school just to get people out there.

Free (state-sponsored) medical school has been predicted for a few years now. It was inevitable.

We'll need a new, super-low grade physician to serve the Medicaid/BarryCare population.

And don't worry Chris3892389823, you should build your practice for a few years and then jump into the concierge tier. You'll make more money seeing one-third the patients.

A primary-care physician can make about $200,000 a year compared to twice that for a specialist. How tempting is it to chase the money?

The urge to specialize is overwhelming.

The government has been claiming to address the primary care problem since the Nixon administration.

We're about to add another tier to "chase the money" -- the concierge tier. Doctors will do their residencies on BarryCare patients. They'll be the human guinea pigs. Then the good ones will advance into private insurance practice. Then the best ones will advance once again to the concierge tier. At the concierge tier level, those docs won't even take insurance. They'll be cash up front.

I only pay for xannies and digital rectal exams
