I know. I'm getting burned out on the UFC. I still have a couple of people I like to see and some of the young talent. I rather watch affliction now and strikeforce. UFC went mainstream and now it's losing it's flavor.
I didn't watch the clip, but the UFC still has the best of the best and whenver that happens it was only a matter of time before they NBA on everyone. Think bout it AzTec what drew u in before was the novelty of the sport, fighting is publicly seen as brutal and unmoral, yet it also is kinda popularized culturally as what defines being a man. A dude who can kick ass. I don't live In Brazil, but there its maxed out even more. I so would have to work on my rep there, as well as my BJJ skills, anyway, my point is I feel U that its getting too watered down, however keep in mind that anything that is entertaining, has novelty value, stimulates peeps, is gonna make a ton of money.
Dana White is not like a Shogun/Warrior Philosopher/, like that one dude who made Tito Look silly. Dana's an as, but a genius entrepreneur. UFC is only gonna go more mainstream, due to well, cultural acceptance of violence, sex, and more of that stuff as just the normal thing. Again, I'm not soapboxing, hell I''m guilty of diggin on it too.
I don't so much mind the commercialism as it continues to expand, but it is natural to lose interest on your part who loves more the purity of the combat itself.
I see where U are coming from, but aint too bothered as long as the world's best keep bringing it.
By the way, Lyoto Machida who embarrassed Tito, will take the Title away from Forrest after he beats Rashad. That dude's throwback, unorthodox karate/Jujitsu/Kickboxing style is beautiful in my opinion and I really really respect his humility, discipline, and philisophical outlook.

I've always been a big fan of the Pride/Dream rules format. They discourage pinning in the corners by pulling the fighters to the center of the ring when they are caught in the ropes, they disallow elbow strikes to the head to reduce fight ending cuts, and they allow head kicks and head stomps to a downed opponent which reduces butt scooting, pulling guard, and holding in the down position. It's more difficult to "fight for score" in their judging system. Dream eschews the 10 point must system and scores the fight in it's entirety, not round by round, emphasizing attempts to finish the fight.

Help me petition UFC to make that fight. How much Suge gotta be paid to "handle his bizzness" like a man by himself without 300 high school drop out wanna be rapper thugs lurking around?

well, forrest was technically whipping evans ass before he got taken down. I'll give evans his credit, but until he took forest down and pounded him.......he didn't look like he belonged in the same ring. Forest's hands were WAAAAYYYY better than evans. I don't see evans holding the belt for long.....not in that division. I'd like to see him fight rampage next so that rampage can pwn him and get his rematch with forest.
