expiration date

i was going through my gear, and ran accross some maxigan eq. the expiration date was oct. 2000. i was just wondering what the shelf life was, and if it was still good to take? what is your opinions. i hate to waste it. it would stack good with my upcoming cycle. any help is appreciated. thanks , freeweight.

It's a year and a half past exp...it's probably lost some of it's potency, if not all....Being so far past I would toss it....

So the day after the 2 year mark it's no good?...Drugs lose their potency as time passes. Some can be downright bad for you after the exp date. 1.5 years is a bit too long.....

Exp. dates

Expiration dates are a general guideline. This has been posted before and the answer was that the analyte in the container will loose @ 5% potency each year after the expiration date. I'm not sure if this is a standard or if it varies from analyte to analyte, I think the later to be true.

Chill out, killer. lol. Barring opening or damage to the container, improper storage, etc., it's generally excepted that the gear will maintain it's sterility and keep enough of it's potency to be effevtive. After 2 years, I guess there is a bigger question mark. I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

I am running some Exp. Test right now...it is true what barbell said... that is may lose .5% potency as time wears on, but pharm companies are forced to put shelf lives within range of category by the FDA..but believe ME they are tested far longer than the Exp date..I KNOW...so if it was stored, cool, dry place..I would not hesitate in the slightest.
