exercises between traing days

Some days ill have a spare ten min and feel like i could burn some energy, if i was to jump down and pump out like 50 push ups would this be counter productive in gaining size? taking into consideration that i may have just worked that muscle group the day before or plan on doing it the day after.

any ideas and comments appreciated
 
my " idea" on if you do it the day before a workout would be that it could lessen the amount of weight/reps you can do, but this is only my theory... And the fact that the body can handle a lot I would assume that just one set of pushups would'nt stress your body much, and it would probably heal any muscle fibers that were damaged during the set before your next workout... Again, that's just my opinion

But if it's more of an effort to do pushups for 50 reps and you'd have to divide it by 3 or more sets... then that will make your body work harder and it will have to heal more fibers by your workout the next day

bash em again even when they hurt they love it, thats how you get big faster than the guys that tell you to rest.

I got bigger by eating big and sleeping more... maybe that's just me.

Yes, it'd be pointless IMO.

you have energy to expand... use it for digesting food. Go eat a huge meal and tell me how much energy you have to run around :)

^^^Quality stuff. Can a mod add this to the sticky, please?

If you want to be active on your off days, do some structured cardio or GPP work rather than ADD shit like randomly banging out pushups.
