Ever work yourself to exhaustion?

After enormous stress in work, late hours, early mornings, lack of sleep, and impossible deadlines, I spent the last 3 days physically and mentally unable to leave the house.

For those who warn that stress and over-work is bad for your health, they are totally correct. I hope nothing too much happened in the world these past 3 days, because whatever it was, I missed it!

Anyone else ever get it bad physically and emotionally through over-work?

Uhhhhh.yea.for about 8 years now. I just finished a 24 hour shift and am in a great mood because I get to go home for 9 hours before I gotta come do it again. I would like to sleep but by te time I get home- too tired to sleep. I will sit on my kitchen counter, burning a hole in the wall with my eyes(NO BLINKING) until I can pass out.

I would assume 90% of the work force out there experiences this. At least in the US, for sure.

i cant believe this is what it has come to. i thought technology's purpose was to make life easier for us, but instead we work harder.

this is why i probably wont be happy. i want to come home without stress or tiredness on my shoulders but i still want to make a good living. finding a job like that is like a needle in a haystack.

Yep..workharder and longer..bottom line is shareholders now..basatrds would outsource if they could figure out how to do my job overseas for .10 a hour.

What do you do? Just make the most of the weekends and take 'naps' in the week.

I'm tired this week because i've been up nights watching the cricket (Ashes) and then up at 6am for work.
