Ever Made A Deal With God??

Several years ago I was messing around with a certain substance. One day, there were a few signs that indicated I was about to get in serious trouble. I kept picturing myself being taken away with my young child watching me go and my life crumbling around me. It was then that I made my deal with God to help me out of this and I would do everything I was supposed to do as a dad. The situation turned out for the best and I have since walked away from my bad habits.

Anyone else ever make a deal??

when I was little - around three yrs old - I had real trouble getting my tights on in the morning before school. I used to pray to God and promise I'll be good if he could only help me get them on. I arrived at school every morning with my tights on so I guess one end of the deal was kept

Well...............

I used to have a little nerf basketball hoop that went on top of a door...........
I was bored at home sick from school one day and I made a deal with the devil that if I made the next free-throw he would get me all the money and everything I wanted in life.
If i missed it he got my soul.......... I rimmed it off to the right and my life has been fucked up every since.

When my mother had an anuerysm when I was 7 years old and she was in CCU on life support I made a deal with God.........I promised to be a good little girl if he didn't let my mommy die. Well, she lived, but I have not been the best little girl I could be. But I do cherish her and life much more than most people.

when i was younger, my ex-girlfriend thought she was pregnant. I had already broken up with her and she contacted me telling me she was pregnant. Even though there was a possibility that she was not telling the truth, i wasn't taking any chances. so i asked God to let her not be pregnant and in return to show my gratitude i would ride a bike this town which is about 60-70 miles to and fro. (hey when your desperate,anything sounds logical). so anyway i got word that she was in the clear and i wasn't gonna be a daddy so i made my journey. total mileage was about 130-140 miles. took me 8 hours total to make that trip. i was sore for 2 weeks after that ride. Talk about a mental and physical challenge.

I made a deal with God that if He helps me accomplish the 4 main goals in my life I will work hard to achieve them, and not fuck them up. So far I've gotten 2 down.

I haven't heard any answers per se, but maybe I'm not listening. Maybe the answer is in the fact that 2 of 4 are accomplished.

I don't cram my faith down anyone's throat so I won't tell anyone that their beliefs are wrong simply b/c I don't agree.
