Ever heard of topamax? Great little fat burner!

I've popped more clen and ECA than I care to ever think to do again. ESPECIALLY the ECA. God knows how many times I've cycled on and off of that stuff. I don't like T3, it just enrages my appetite.

Get your test levels checked now!! Theres about 8/9 real important ones.... 2/3 refferring to test specifically.... search around the site for acceptable hormone levels or something like that. I think a guy DrJMW posted it awhile ago.

Just ask for a blood test to test my testosterone levels or something? What should I ask for specifically? As geigh as the military is with how our medical system is, I'm going to have to have bend over backwards, put my head up my ass and shout the declaration of independence in swahili before I can get anything done.

About 3 years ago a doctor gave it to me for migraines - did nothing positive for the migraines - and was by far THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER put into my body and to add insult to injury the doctor that prescribed it did not ramp the dosage and started me at 400mg - a few days in I knew something was terribly wrong.

The pharmacy had no mention of ramping and it was only when I ask the pharmacist what was going on that long pause said a lot. Between the dosage and the conflict with my BC pills - I am still angry at the doctor that gave me a script knowing NOTHING about what she prescribed.

The long term side effects were extremely bad and only in the past year and a half I've regained the feeling in my fingertips and lost the pins and needles in my hands and feet.

I had severe brain fog, confusion for a long time that it effected my ability to work efficiently. I have never gotten over the memory loss - I had never forgot anything and never had to write anything down and since that first cycle I've had to write everything down.

The weighloss is a side effect of the drug because as other have said it causes appetite loss.

These are just a FEW of the side effects.

Just so everyone knows, PCPs (Primary Care Physicians, General Practioners, Family Doctors, etc.) have started prescribing a lot of psychotropic meds in the last few years even though they have no training; they're just reading a textbook description and then "practicing" medicine. If you aren't sure or haven't heard of the med before, please check to see if it's meant for psychiatric purposes, otherwise you could be looking at all sorts of brain impairment. Here's a simple 2-page quick-reference you can print up: (please check out the potential side effects at the bottom of the second page)

Would hate to see a lot of muscle-bound bros walking around with Tourette's involuntarily :google: blurting out stuff like.."Ball Sack!"..

Yah but have you ever taken the stuff?

Before this thread goes ANY further, I strongly recommend you NOT use Topamax as anything except what it's made for; which is an ANTI-SEIZURE medication; It's also used at times to diminish possible psychosis and as a mood stabilizer. Unless a trained psychiatrist thinks you really needs this type of med, you're really gambling with your neurotransmitters. IMHO.

P.S. I'm licensed in two states and nationally certified as a mental health specialist, so I have a little bit of experience.

I have a print out of all the drug indications that they gave me when they gave me the prescription, which includes the side effects (that denotes the brainfog, anorexia, hyperthermia, etc), drug interactions, indications, and pharmacology. I also listed that other link at the beginning of the thread.

At this point, I've been taking 200mg for about 2 weeks (I'm not increasing the dosage any further), and the side effects seem to be subsiding a bit.

Reasonable question. No, I haven't. Thank goodness I don't have a seizure disorder, mood instability, "migraines", psychosis or a history of alcoholism that might warrant a trial of it. I never expected a subject like this to appear on this board, and I certainly am not a final authority on the subject. But just thought I'd share what I have some experience in......only tryin' to help.

(Incidentally, if anyone wants to know why the big pharaceutical companies are making billions, it's because of the millions of general doctors they've sold this kind of idea to....they they can safely prescribe whatever they want.)

As I was hopefully implying earlier, just BE CAREFUL, and stay informed. But let your doc know your concerns and certainly any unwanted side effects, - just like anything else that's supposed to be supervised by a physician. ;)

Will do, and thanks :)
