Ever been so depressed....

you just wish something would happen to just make it all end? I have been getting this feeling more and more lately...hmm

anyone else feel this way ?
 
I find that I go through cycles of depression. Some days I feel good, others bad. Lately, I have not been feeling so good about things. If you need to talk, you can pm me anytime.

Yeah, it does seem to go in cycles..Like some days things seem to be going good and within a few hours I can be feeling totally alone and depressed. It comes and goes. I noticed that going to the gym or something gets me outta that mood for a while...
Its like a temporary Prozac ;)

Exercising used to solve my bad moods, but even though I'm exercising now more than ever I still feel 50/50 mentally.
 
Fuck. I'm sick of hearing about you depressed bastards.

The number one thing you have to realize, is that YOU HAVE TO TAKE CHARGE IF YOU WANT TO GET BETTER! Talk to your doctor. Get on meds. Go to counselling. Etc.

Sittiing around whining won't help matters.

Forgive me for being harsh, but that's the way the shit it. You have to help yourself -- no one else will can do it for you.

Maybe you are right. But I think that most people go through ups and downs throughout their lives.

You're a newbie, so I won't laugh to hard. Hehehehe!

My dear, one thing you'll notice about this board is that a good 90% of the people here have emotional problems. Mostly depression and the like.

Ups and downs are temporary, but real depression is a lifelong thing. Fortunetly, it's treatable...but most people don't seek out help.

What's up with the elephant, btw? :)

Hey taps, don't tell me to take charge and shit, i have been to 4 psychologists, 1 psychiatrist...i have been on prozac, st johns wart, valium, lithium, zoloft, paxil, and ritalin and nothing has worked, i've given the initiative, i've tried to get better. You must realize that sometimes the answer to lifes problems are not so simple as "well go to the doctor and get it fixed" doctors do not have the answers all the time. Counseling is a joke, 4 people 3 male docs and 1 female and they all act the same way....its almost pity they use when showing sympathy for the situation, they say things like "I understand" too much when in fact they do not understand, they have not lived my life, they have just read some textbook that has filled them with this magical knowledge of the human mind and behavioral patterns. I have told them point blank that THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND and they cannot tell me its not soo bad because that is all they do, there answer to things never works....oh have anger management problem? take a time out and evaluate the situation, when you are angry theres no fucking way you are gunna take and evaluate a situation, anger is a primal emotion in a sophicticated and evolved world. I am sorry for ranting but please make less generalized statements about how to fix life's problems.
