Well, last event training day before Boston. Didn't go too heavy or intense on anything. Felt a bit dehydrated anyways. Kept getting cramps in my calves and hams. Here is what I did.

2" Thick Deadlift Holds
several warm ups
300 x 12 sec x 3 sets, super setted the last set with 6 reps on the trainer CoC gripper.

Tire Flip
several warm up singles
12 flips
8 flips

Log Press
several warm ups
284 x 1 (PR, form felt great and definately makes a HUGE difference)
240 x 2 x 2 sets (balance felt off and back was cramping)

Incline Tate Presses
55's x 6 x 3 sets, 30 sec rest between sets

Yoke and Sled Drag
615 x 100 ft........200 or so(very rough sled) 100 ft
Sled drag only....same weight, 100 ft

Standing Arm over arm pull
250 or so x 35 ft x 2 sets

Stones
185 x 5 (one after the other, higher platform), supersetted with 320 x 1.
320 x 1 (64" platform)
light tacky only on hands for all sets

That was all folks. Other than my back being a little cramped and my quads still still screaming from the sled drag...I feel pretty good. I "might" do some dynamic squats or zearchers tomorrow with very light weights tomorrow. That is probably all I will do for the rest of the week. I will do abs though...yuck!!!! I hate to mess up my one pack:)

God Bless and I'm all ears for advice.

The deadlift hold is tough on the grip. The bar is the same size from one end to the other...just grab a hold of the part of a reguar bar where the weights slide on and off...that is how thick my entire bar is. I love them.

Little sore today:)

There is usually water at most comps...I train every Sunday at my home. That is where I took these pics...at my home.

I was cramping when I first got up Sunday morning...calves and hams. Feel better now though.

That was all?

You getting soft on us, man?:D

Seriously though, great lifts!:)

Good luck in Boston.

Haha..thanks man. I hope to do well in Boston...just want to make the first cut so I can compete on the 2nd day. Making the top 10 out of 27 competitors...the best amats in the U.S....with a HUGE weight class (250 and up to whatever) I will be competing against those 100lbs heavier than I am.

Who knows though.

Weight Classes...

I think the weight classes should be:

whatever they are up to 250 lbs.

250 lbs. - 300 lbs.

300 lbs. +

The guys are getting bigger and bigger all of the time. The classes should reflect the competitor weight and size gains.

- Screwball

Most amat contests start at 175 adn go up ever 25 lbs till they hit over 300 lbs...over 300 is considered SHW. At this contest...it is 200 and under, 200-250, and 250 and up. There are more people in my class than the others...it will be tough.
