does anyone know the last day one can buy ephedrine products legally?

I am asking when the ban on ephedra become effective, not where I can buy it. is that information available on the website dnewebpharm website? I couldn't find it.

DPS, last day they are going to sell ephedra products is April 12th.
Is it just me or does EVERYONE get ephedra and ephedrine mixed up? They are two different things. One has been banned already and one is on it`s way out.

So ephedra is being banned.
Why don`t they sell ephedrine alone? Why do they stick the other (guaffesen sp?) "asthma" stuff in there just to sell it? That tells me it`s not able to be sold by itself.
I tried buying ephedrine a few months ago online and I had to leave my name number, a copy of my social security card... lol the woman said the DEA wanted to know who was buying it.
I said "no thanks" and hung up.

The reason that guaifenesin is added into ephedrine is so it can be made in meth. The only side affect that it has is if you take too many at one time you will get an upset stomach. I have used ephedrine with and without the guaif and not noticed a difference. If you go through dnepharm, they only request 2 forms of ID, I gave them a copy of my drivers licence and a paystub with my social security number blacked out. Its mainly to prove that you are over 18.

Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It helps you to expell mucus. It is not added to facilitate the making of meth.
Ephedra is an herbal derivative that contains several different kind of alkaloids. The three we know best are ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, and the long lost phenylpropanolamine.

Popular in the mid to late 90’s, this product was never approved by the FDA, nor were its claims to help with asthma relief or as a bronchodilator and expectorant. It contained 25 mg of Ephedrine HCL with 100 mg Guaifensin. The small 100 tablet bottles were sold at truck stops, convenience stores and through most internet supplement stores for anywhere between $4.00 - $15.00 [same product, same name, different price – go figure]. Restrictions were placed on the sale of this product until it eventually was removed from most points of sale. Most vendors were allowed to sell the stock that they had on hand but were prohibited from ordering more to sell to the public. Limitations were placed on how many bottles could be purchased at one time and most reputable places were asking for a photo identification when this was being purchased. While most of it was used as a weight loss drug, it was gaining a tremendous amount of popularity when cooked down and made into a fast acting, cheap high [meth amphetamine] but the inclusion of the Guaifenesin made it a little harder to separate the binders and fillers from the product.

I meant so it cant be made into meth, my bad.
it is april 12th... the people that run the quick-e-mart down the street are getting rid of their stock and they said they have to pull on the 12th. I'm loading up on the ephedrine
