enough sleep?

TipDrill

New member
I went to sleep at 11pm last night after taking 10mg of Ambien. I woke up around 3:45am this morning. I woke up just fine, and I have plenty of energy. Did I get enough sleep? I usually sleep for at least 8 hours. Anything less than that and I'm dragging all day. Tell me what you think.

Who knows ?

Ambien fucks your sleep

It's not good quality sleep

That isn't good sleep, or enough of it. Taking a med will make you sleep[although your 4.5 hrs isn't enough], but it isn't the quality sleep you need in the long run.
Try to get 7-8 hrs, but this isn't always easy to do.
A screwed up sleep pattern is going to run you down in time.

Hope I helped.

good thing it only happened one night.

7 hours is recommeded sleep...8-9 is good stuff for the body.

if you find yourself sleeping 12-13 hours a day constantly you are "depressed" and your life is full of anxiety and you want to sleep the miseries away.

there was a new study out the other week about ppl who go to sleep at 3-4AM and do not get enough sleep, they are more likely to be obese.. america does not need more obese ppl around. GET SOME SLEEP if you fall under this catagory.

sometimes people can't help thier sleep issues and require medication in order to get even 4 hrs sleep. whether is poor or good quality... speaking from experince i would rather have a bad 4 hrs, then no sleep at all.

Take Seroquel if you want a full 8 hrs of sleep or more. I have taken Ambien in the past and had the same issue of waking to early.

sereoquel is an antipsychiotic. Do not take it unless you have to. They tried to give this to me for my sleeeping issues and although agreed... it works like a charm, if givne to ppl who do not suffer from many of the reason it is prescribe, its side effects can be far worse.

Personally it gave me a great sleep but also cause em to be depressive and can cause weight gain.

To suggest to someone to take antidepressants when there isin't necessarily an undelying reason to take them, isint really ideal advice.

OK there doc, what do you recommend?

Well if he was given ambien the doctor obviously bleeives he has an issue with sleeping.

Unless they weren't his?

A docotr could give a better analysis.. i just know alot about these types of drugs and have tried most sleeping pills (the quality of sleep on sleeping pill is low). the answer is indivual.. Just saying unless he has psychotic issues.. he shouldn't take antipsychotics..
