End of cycle max's

Well Grandpa went for his big three, 1 rep max's last night after 12 weeks ON cycle. I always do this to measure strength increases. Sadly it's status quo.
I can't go as heavy as I could on Dead Lift due to some back and knee issues
I'm alittle disapointed because I did not go over my last personal bests. But this cycle did not incorporate Tren or Halo. So based on that... I'm happy
Only gained 11 pounds, which will net me about 6.
Age: 51 , Weight: 208 , Height: 5'10.4" , BF 12%

1-5 40 mg Dbol ED
1-12Test Cyp 600 mg/ wk
1-10 Deca 400mg/wK
7-12 Anavar 60mg/ED

Max bench - 340
Max Squat - 385
Seated Military - 225
Dead Lift - 340

Anyway..... for what it's worth.

did u use any support ie. belt, knee wraps, any lifting suits ?
do u compete ? looks like u could do well in ur age group. if i could squat what i did in my 20's now i would hold a state record.

No, no, no, no and no :) I just like to see what I can put up.
I take alot of joint support sups. The problem as we age is our connective tissue. I stay away from Winnie, and usually toss some Deca in for that reason. Deca is like WD-40 for your joints. Tear something at 50 and you're in rehab for a year.

I think I could go higher but I fear injury. When I'm on Tren or Halo I can do more weight. This summer I will be doing a Tren/Test/Mast/ Halo cycle.
I want to go for 400lbs all the way around (except military press) That's my Mt. Everest. I think I can get ther within a year.

Damn, nice numbers. One thing I find odd to me. My bench max is 250, way less than yours, but I rep 355 on deadlifts for 4 sets + 2 warmup sets @ 135 for 10, 225 for 8. I guess people are stronger in different ways. Hmmm. My legs and back are as strong as hell, but can't bench worth shit. Does anyone else have this problem?

how are your shoulders and tris? do you do chest too soon after tris/delts so you never get to really work your chest at max?

Your max presses are pretty good man...but what's more impressive is being at 208 lbs with only 12% body fat - that's admirable!

My tris are good I do skull crushers with 110lb which is pretty strong for me, shoulders are lacking some I think, plus I do have some minor rotator cuff damage back from when I played baseball which I think is making shoulder development harder.

I do chest tri's and shoulders all in the same day, some days I do tri's the day after. flat/incline/flys both bb and db alternating days, should erpraess both bb and db, and lateral raises. I also use 110lb dumbells for reps of 10 right now. Something weird is going on I think.

Good job man. Nice to see honest numbers - but then again it seems honesty should be expected from you.

Cheers

theres a guy in my gym who was on the cover of powerlifting usa in his day, he is about 55 now. after having a stroke about 3 yrs ago and back surgery about 5 yrs ago, he was in the gym training for a powermeet squating 495 for 3 and he only weights about 185. this was about a yr ago. i stated training with him and he told me to stay away from lifting supports until you hit heavy weights. one day we couldnt squat together and i worked up to 315 w/ no supports and got 10 below paralel lifts. the next week my knee was aching real bad and i couldnt squat. he asked me if i had used wraps and i told him he had told me not to until the weights got heavy. and he barked at me that even though i was only 45, 315 was to heavy for someone my age to be squating with out wraps on. moral of the long and boring story is try using wraps. theres nothing wrong with it at your age and why limit your strenght because of worn out joints ? no offense but your probably alot stronger than your lifts indicate due to your joints just not being able to keep up anymore.

Yes, I do. I can max deadlift - 455 and squat 325. My bench is at 225. My "excuse" is that I have 37" (length) arms and it is what it is. :worried:

I am 6'2" myself and have long arms too. That much range of motion requires a lot more energy vs a guy that is 5'7.

You haven't seen my "rap sheet", but thank you... :)

Just an incentive for those who feel "old" at 40,45, 50. You're not old if you don't let your body know it.

There's a guy I know who is 64 who can walk into a gym and put on 8 cookies and bench it 5 times, COLD! Fuckin' sick!
