eh well. if you lose your job, you cant afford food and cigarettes, so you quit or you die

its about time imo, there was a case here in aus where all the smokers were getting multiple 5 minute breaks to have a cigarette, and a non smoker wanted ot join them but was refused - so he said that he could stand there holding a cigarette if they liked, if he could have 5 minutes off with everyone else, and he was again refused

now THAT is the sort of discrimination that gets you going

I don't about legally but morally you cannot discriminate against smokers this way unless you do the same to everyone living an unhealthy lifestyle. That means anyone who is overweight, anyone who does drugs, anyone that drinks to excess, anyone that smokes, anyone that hasn't exercised in 10 years, anyone with poor eating habits etc. etc. etc.

In Finland, non-smokers get an extra week of paid vacation because they figured out that smoker's cumulative cigarette breaks equals that time.
