I never been this up and down since probably puberty and have not cried this much in a long time. I never thought losing a job would be this hard. Not knowing what the heck I am going to be doing a week or month from now is driving me nuts. A lot of my friends are telling me to enjoy the time off but I find it really hard to do that knowing my future is so uncertain. Worst part is the feeling of regret I have leaving a job and company I was very successful at.

I hear ya, I'm having serious mindfvcking stress right now. Money issues bleh.
I bet you will land on your feet, no problem.

What happened? I hadn't heard a thing about this.

Sorry you are feeling down. :( Seems like lots of people feeling down lately. Tis the season for holiday blues. I hope you find a new job you can be happy with ASAP.

if you were successful at your last company, you'll be successful at your next

hang in there, everything will work out for the best

I told you to stay with the previous company. Someday you'll realize that not only am I your future ex-husband, I'm never wrong.

Awwww sorry babe.......If i was there i would make you feel better

never heard the story, sorry to hear it... wish you well

hang in there, it always works out in the end, just hard to convince yourself of that

I felt the same way, I completely went bugshit for about a week. I was so relieved because I hadn't really liked the job or my boss but the money was sooooo good. My severance paid off my debts so I could live off unemployment but I hated the uncertainty.

Don't laugh, take a real vacation, seriously, an inexpensive one, but something good. A change of scenery, a breath of fresh air, be nice to yourself. It makes all the difference in terms of screwing your head back on.

Use the time to focus on yourself. Or, if you want to be proactive, get it out there to everyone that you are looking for work. You probably have a ton of personal contacts that would be happy to try to help you out.

You're making EI, right? And you must have gotten a decent severance package.

Severance was nothing special 3 weeks. I have got in touch with a number of friends in the business already.

It's hard to find a job at this time, so don't think it's because you're not "worthy" or something...it's just a rough time everyone's going through...like your friend said, enjoy the time off and remain proactive in finding a job...you'll get a good one and I'm sure you'll be fine

If you will take just any job it is not that hard. I have turned things down already so I am not working just to work. I want to find something that I will stick with long term. Remember what we PMed before that you were thinking about doing well it is looking very good that I am going to do that. I just have to make up my mind cause getting into that is not a small thing yeah know.

or maybe even better

on a side note I know how you feel, and its a horrible feeling

use the time to cut ALL the bull holding you back and 'clean house' so to speak o other stuff around you

Is the "business" you are referring to something that you could get into on your own and write your own meal ticket?

Ive had my own business for 15 years and wouldn't trade it for anything.
