whoever posts the most on this thread in a 24 hour period earns the pot.
only rule, you can score only once per hour
starts 6am saturday

6am cst
and btw no funny business
I've thought of that
and households with two members are excluded

addition
to weed out any funny business your post characters need to match the hour of the competition
e.g. a 13th hour post needs 13 characters,no less no more
smilies count as one character

what if someone posts more than one post an hour, does it count against?

no,one score per hour max
the idea is endurance
could be cool if participants play fair
see how many start at 6am and then follow the scores as the hours advance

The first race was held on May 26 and 27 1923 and has since been run annually in June, with exceptions occurring in 1956 (July) and 1968 (in September, due to nationwide political turmoils in spring; see May 1968), and was cancelled only in the years 1936 (economy) and from 1940 to 1948 (World War 2).

The race is run on a semi-permanent track which, in its current configuration, is 13.650 km (8.482 mi) long, utilizing mostly country roads that remain open to the public for the majority of the year. Over the years, several purpose-built sections have replaced the normal roads, especially the Porsche Curves section which bypasses the dangerous former Maison Blanche section between buildings. The permanent Bugatti Circuit surrounds the facilities at start/finish.

Usually, around 50 cars race simultaneously in a number of different categories and classes, from dedicated prototypes to street cars, the overall winner being the car that has covered the greatest distance in 24 hours of continuous racing. This rule appears obvious, but the 1966 race saw a surprise winner. Ford expected a level finish with two GT40 Mark II crossing the line at the same time in a staged finish, but the car that made the worse time during practice was pronounced the winner, as it had started further behind on the grid and thus covered a bigger distance in the same time. In addition, a car must cross the finish line after 24 hours to be classified, which leads to dramatic scenes where damaged cars leave the pits to crawl around the track one last time in order to finish or, sometimes, less dramatic scenes where damaged cars' drivers are confident enough in the ability of the engine to start again and simply stop on the border of the track close to the finish line, waiting for the last lap to restart their engine and cross the line.

judging from my experience on the bookie forum I don't think your actual time zone matters
it will reflect in my zone
I'm concerned with tampering with the time zones in your user profile to make multiple scores in a single sitting
I think it will be noticed

If I post at 6am pacific, it will show as 8am your time bro.

I don't think so as we host bookie events with start times across the board
I adjust my time zone to match the actaul events time zone(kind of tricky for the winter olympics) and then all can play using their own time zone
in any case it will become apparent when the event starts
whoever participates will get their 24 opportunities to score
I'll keep an eye as it unfolds

you guys need to check the rules
and it starts saturday
when you should be doing yardwork
which you can still do

you don't have to be around for the full 24 hours to win
the last six hours may be interesting

So I am posting this at 9:43 my time, what time does it say for you 4everhung?
