Don't let a few bad apples turn you off from the board. Yes there are a few ass holes running around that don't know shit and continue to give bad advice...but you'll get that on every board. This is a great board...I think you should give George and the mods a lot of credit for making this the best anabolic board on the net...there is no need to slander the boards name.

Sometimes people forget that we are all here to learn. It's easy to get frustrated here with morons putting up fake posts that are so outlandish they have to get flamed. Unfortunately those posts detract from the intention people have when they come here(to either help people or seek help themselves).

Additionally, I have been frustrated by how many kids are on here, asking questions about things they have already started to use. Even though I feel like flaming them I try to refrain. I will however not give them info on how to use AS.

Truthfully everyone here that gives advice about how to use AS is practicing medicine without a license. Some kid's gonna fuck himself up and when they do, people here may have some big problems.

But on the whole people here have been very helpful.

Needleboy, you should recall the FLORIDA post. I was sending a PM and went back to it and it was gone, pecan.

Stuff like that is why I am a member of several boards. You take it with a grain of salt, distill of the bullshit and you can get some good info.

The board is what you make it. Its not the same as it was a year or two ago because its growing, this has its advantages and disadvantages. I think encouraging people to learn how to search the archives will eliminate most of the problems while not falling victim to the flamefest's will also help.

I hear what you are saying about all of the sarcasm toward newbies. The thing is that, as a newbie, one should expect to get some sort of flamage. WRemember when you were a freshman in high school? and agani in college? The new guys always get crap...fact of life.
On the flipside, I also see lots of great answers from people too. I think if you look at the big picture of this board you will still see that it is a good place to learn from.
Finally ask yourself this, How many times can these mods answer the same questions about Winny, Fina and cycle advice and so forth without getting burnt out? There has to be some sort of release. It comes in the form of comedy. I would rather see people get there answers with a bit of humor then not at all...

By the way, can I drink winny? LOL

Bottom line...the site is still great and the mods are doin' a good job.

In addition, the mods need to check themselves before deleting or locking a thread. It seems that some of them base it on whether they themselves are interested in the thread or agree with it, not on objective criteria. I've seen some pretty good discussions/exchanges removed or locked out. Fonz has no business being a mod.

I gotta say that I like this board a lot. It moves the fastest sure but most of the good posts remain at the top for while. So when people post bullshit they either get flamed which is usually funny to read or the thread disappears fast.

On this I have to agree with Julez, there have been some great new additions to the mod group!! I must say though, Elite Fitness is a very dynamic board. People come and people go, bringing with them many personalities. Which I believe is a hell of alot better than some of the other boards which are stagnant in both members, and intellect. Elite has been in my opinion, been going nothing but up for a few months now!!!!

I have to chime in here in defense of Elite. First of all, I rarely post a new thread, try to respond to posts I have either experience with or have read up on, spend a shitload of time combing the archives, make an occassional wise crack, and LMFAO at some of the comedy here. Doing this, I have gotten so much out of this site.

Here's the thing, what are your options? Forums where you might wait days for a response? Dry Discussion with the same 3 or 4 guys answering/asking most questions where everyone's opinion starts sounding the same? MuscleMag is a joke, Renegade serves 1 purpose, and I can go on an on. Elite sucks and its great.....its like real life----schmucks, assholes, cool guys, knowledgeable guys, morons, the grammatically challenged, scammers, butt fuckers, you name it, they're all here, there isn't another site like it really.

If we can just encourage more use of the search button, and be mindful of the rules and ettiquette, this site will remain what is IMO the single best resource for CURRENT info on AS.

With all due respect, I have to say that I am totally with VTAT on this one. In a free country and on an uncensored discussion board, you can criticize whoever you want to. And if a mod isn't doing his job the way that a member believes he should, that member has the right, if not the duty, to voice his opinion. Bro I think you are reading more into my post than I intended to convey. I was simply defending the right to free speech, something I consider fundamental and crucial here. I respectfully disagree with your position that a disagreement with a mod needs to be resolved privately. Maybe some people think that the best way to deal with a grievance is to air it publicly.

IMO, "constructive criticism" is much more likely to elicit a response if it is publicly aired and others have an opportunity to hear it, form their own opinions, and contribute to the discussion if they so choose.

I agree that Fonz has the qualifications to be a mod. He has insightfully responded to several questions I have put to him, and I have learned quite a bit from his posts here and on AF. But having such qualifications does not make it right for Fonz, or any other mod for that matter, to delete/move/edit posts that they disagree with, and I stand by my post above.

If people are irritated with this kind of post or thread, I'm sorry, but they don't have to read it. I think that some legitimate issues have been raised about the recent changes here, and it deserves discussion.

Trevdog i agree with you totally and maybe my reply was worded incorrectly or as you say maybe i was reading more into it than was there.
Your comments about discussion are correct and i applaud what you say in terms of this particular Mods credentials. I was not and am still not aware of the delete/move/edit posts you talk of but agree that some people are irratated and freedom of speach does mean we discuss.
You also make a valid point about bringing this into the public domain as yes i agree you would like answers on why these posts were deleted or moved. I was however defending Fonz as you say ''He has insightfully responded to several questions'' i think we are both of the same opinion as i do not believe he should be attacked publically! you were not however doing that and simply require discussion which you are right to do.
