Has anyone tried that electric shock ab workerouter thing? I was watching the infomercial and thought it might actually work. I figure its probably one of those things that you buy and never take it out of the closet. Any help would be appreciated.

carp out......

Uhhh, go to the gym! There's no need to be a fucking smart ass.I know it was a fucked up question, but if you can't reply with some intelligence, don't bother replying at all.

Let me refrase the question:

Has anybody used this with success because if it works it could be a good addition to my ab routine.

carp out..........

I have been wanting to know this also. I go to the gym 6x a week, but every little bit can help.

BUMP

those things are garbage. basically they use those things to prevent degeneration of muscles in paralyzed patients. They will not give you the look you're looking for, and besides, they're painful to use.

Well...I'll admit that I purchase the Abtronic and although I have only had it a short time...If found it to be an intense enough to be sore and tight the next day ...but also feel like I get even better workout when I do crunches.

I also being a freak with it and doing upper, middle and lower abs ...each a 10 minute cycle. Adjusting intensity to get as serious as a workout as possible.

Who knows if it really works...but after a few weeks...I'm still a believer. Also liking that Yohimburn.

my room mate got one, i tried it and was actually sore the next day but it did not think it was comparable to my ab workout with weights. i would pick the roman chair any day over it. i will tell you this, it feels like something you have never experienced before. shocking and vibrating, i have very big ab muscels so it was entertaining to see them bounce around involintarily like that.

dont waste your $39.93

I have a medical grade EMS unit for my rehab(ACL). It works well in cases of atrophy. It maybe used for trouble spots to tighten up, but doesn't replace actually exercising the muscle. A real EMS unit will run you $250 to $2000 depending how good it is and where you get it.

These DO NOT work the muscle the in the manor it would naturally contract. They will not bring about the physiological adaptation you get from resistance training. The prevent atrophy and degredation in injured or immobile muscles by forcing your muscles to act as pumps, flushing the bad crap out, and bringing the good stuff into the muscle. Aside from rehabilitation, they may have some application in athletic muscle recovey. However, I suspect this application is limited.
