Elbow Pian???

GRIMMER

New member
I train west side method so i do max effort on wed. anyway lately pressing once the weight starts to get heavy i have an aching pain that runs from my elbow to my shoulder. It feels like i just got hit in the funny bone or something. The pain is real deep and almost feels like the bone or tricept is bruised or somethin'. Once it gets heavy it feels like i can't even push with that arm. Hurts like hell when doing Skull crushers. Anyone had the same thing? ADVICE?

I have had the same problem. What I did was start taking a super multi vitamin pack (vitatech packs), Joint defense by techline, and I wear elbow sleeves. Now I have no elbow problems (knock on wood). I would also stop doing the skull crushers until your elbows are completely healed. Although I love skull crushers I found that they tend to irritate a unhealthy ebow joint. Now that my elbows are all healed up, nothing bothers them. Good luck

Unfortunately skull crushers are elbow joint killers, personally I would drop them, eventually I had to , there are plenty of other tri exercises and I'm not talking pushdowns either, I mean JM press, close grip bench, heavy dips with weight.
or............................................

GET VIOXX !!!!! lol
Peace,
Mike

i agree with everyone but i would NOT stop jm presses or skull crushers personally.i have bad shoulders and elbows that hurt like hell, but i had to warm up longer, stretch more,i started the glucosamine,msm..helped me because i still do them and they are what help my bench so i won't stop doing them.try these things and see what happens .........

Thanks guys,
Im definetly going to get at least some joint relief with whatever i can find but krushers is what has helped my bench so much. I might just have to go lighter on them. Oh ya where can i get elbow sleeves at?

viox is a cox II inhibitor (cyclooxygenase II), is does not inhibit cox I, cox is the enzyme that breaks down arachadonic acid to prostaglandins. Prostaglandins can potentiate the actions of bradykinin and histamine which cause the pain. COX II inhibitors like Viox and celebrex are good for antiinflammatory, but are not good for analgesia. The ones that work best for analgesia and antiinflammatory are COX I inhibitors which are aspirin, IB profin, ketoralc (whick is taken IM, this is what president clinton took after he fell and to have knee surgery).

Thank you for the chemistry lesson.

Point being, I have inflammed tendons, the inflamation is what causes my pain, when AI take VIOXX which is an anti inflammatory, I do not have pain. I could care less which cock it is cock I or cock II the COck I am concerned about being inhibited is the one in my pants

Just playing.

ON a serious note, I tried the ibuprofen thing several and it just did not work, VIOXX really helps me.

Peace,
Thanks for the info.,
Mike

Pain is caused by bradykinin and histamine release in the cell. If inflammation hurts you don't do any shots because that is similar to inflammation. The only cock on this board is natural mike, I try to explain the pharmacology about why these things work and MR. Natural don't want to here it. On a serious note I would like to know what MR. Natural's lifts are. By the way, he is good with his come backs ain't he.
